Judicial Watch announced Monday that the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department released more than 1,000 hours of body-worn camera footage from January 6, 2021, spread across 1,630 videos.

The release came after a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed in June 2024, which is another reminder that when the government says “transparency,” it often means “check back after we drag this through court.” The footage is now drawing fresh attention because one clip appears to include police radio traffic discussing a large FBI presence near the Capitol that day.

The Line That Has People Rewinding The Tape--

January 6 defendant and investigative journalist Tommy Tatum flagged a bodycam clip identified in the source material as X6039BF3H, with the key audio reportedly starting around the 12:30 mark and occurring around 5:14 p.m.

In the clip, an officer appears to say something along the lines of, “Do you have 350 FBI agents there right at this moment?” or “You got 350 FBI agents there ready to deploy.”

The background noise makes the full exchange hard to hear, so caution is fair, but the number is what has people paying attention. If police on the ground were discussing hundreds of FBI personnel being ready to deploy, that raises obvious questions about who was there, what roles they had, and why the public had to wait years to hear this audio.

Thomas Matthew Crooks exchanged emails with a Butler County Sheriff's deputy before he opened fire on President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024, a detail buried in heavily redacted FBI files that the bureau released only after a watchdog group sued to pry them loose.

The documents, first reported by the Daily Caller, emerged through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch. The conservative legal organization forced the FBI to make dozens of records public, records the bureau had, until now, kept from the American public nearly two years after the assassination attempt that left Trump wounded and a rallygoer dead.

Among the released files is an FBI electronic communication dated July 16, 2024, just three days after the shooting, titled "Disc of 5 Deputies of Butler County Sheriff's Office." The document compiles interviews the bureau conducted with five local deputies.

One unnamed deputy told FBI agents she had "checked her emails and records and only had two email communications" from Crooks. She said she had no "personal interaction" with him.

The content of those two emails remains unknown. The FBI's heavy redactions stripped most context from the released pages, leaving the public to guess what Crooks wrote to a local law enforcement official before carrying out his attack.

Why a 20-year-old would contact a sheriff's deputy by email, what he asked or discussed, and whether anyone flagged the exchange before July 13, all of that sits behind black bars on a government page.

That pattern of secrecy has defined the FBI's handling of the Butler shooting from the start. Judicial Watch had to go to federal court just to get the files released. No docket number or court name has been disclosed publicly, but the organization published the production documents on its website.

Judicial Watch obtained heavily redacted documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation showing that law enforcement broadcast radio warnings about an "unknown male acting suspiciously" prior to the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The FBI was forced to release the first records after President Donald Trump's assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, following Judicial Watch's lawsuit against the bureau. A year and a half after the shooting, very little is known about the assassination attempt, the failures leading up to it, and the shooter himself.

In the lawsuit, Judicial Watch asked for all records and communications related to Trump's would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, after the FBI failed to comply with a July 2024 FOIA request.

As a result, the FBI was forced to release 37 heavily redacted pages revealing the extent to which law enforcement was aware of "suspicious" activity leading up to the deadly shooting.

A federal judge has ordered the U.S. Department of Justice to answer a $30 million wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of the estate of Ashli Babbitt.

The unarmed protester was at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, like many others, opposing the certification of Joe Biden as president.

In a crowd in the building, in which two individuals already had dislodged the glass panels in the lobby doors, she was raising herself into the opening when Capitol police officer Michael Byrd shot and killed her.

According to Judicial Watch, which is pursuing the case on behalf of the estate of the Air Force veteran, the government agents are accused of wrongful death, assault and battery, negligence.

The lawsuit was filed earlier this year, and it cites a long list of prior incidents involving Byrd, the Capitol Police and others.

• Broken toilets that either wont flush or repeatedly explode in Cells

• Solitary Confinement for 25 ½ hours or more at a time

But there’s more.

Guards deny them hot water, and keep them from going to court. They severely beat, mace, harass, insult, and even sexually assault them.

Their food is so disgusting and so low in nutrition, that some prisoners are losing their eyesight, their hair, and getting scurvy (from Vitamin C deficiency).

There’s much, much more…all of it horrifying. And this has been going on for years … in AMERICA.

They conclude their letter by pleading to be transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where the Taliban and Islamic terrorists get better treatment!

This can’t go on.

This comes after Special Counsel Robert Hur exposed that the University of Delaware had provided misleading information to the courts.

Despite this revelation, the University of Delaware remains adamant in its refusal to disclose Biden’s records. They have stated that the papers will not be made available until two years after Biden steps down from public office.

Last month, Special Counsel Robert Hur published a 345-page report on Joe Biden’s scandal involving stolen classified documents. The report, examined by this reporter, revealed that Biden’s classified documents were discovered at the University of Delaware, and taxpayer funds were utilized to manage his senatorial records.

“In January, February, and June 2023, FBI agents identified and recovered just over a dozen marked classified documents in Mr. Biden’s Senate-era papers housed at the University of Delaware. Almost all of these documents predate the Senate’s establishment of rules for the tracking and handling of classified information,” Robert Hur wrote in his report.

Judicial Watch Asks for Preliminary Relief Enjoining Gov. Newsom’s Order to Mail Ballots to Every Registered Voter in California

Judicial Watch announced on June 12 it had filed a motion for a preliminary injunction to bar the enforcement of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s executive order mandating that unrequested and unneeded mail-in ballots be sent to all of the state’s registered voters for the November 3, 2020, election.

The particular risks associated with mailed ballots were acknowledged 15 years ago by the bi-partisan Carter-Baker Commission. It observed that “[a]bsentee [mail-in] ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.”

Immigrants now account for over one-quarter of the state’s population and comprise a third of the entire labor force. In 2018, it had 10.6 million.

With an estimated 3.5 million illegals living in California, they can get a driver's license that automatically registers them to vote. Judge Andrew Napolitano says that “if you are an illegal alien in California, get a driver’s license, register to vote, you can vote in local, state, and federal elections in California and those votes count.”

And guess what--all the mail-in ballots postage is pre-paid.
