Masked man tried to shoot Victim

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A masked man allegedly struck a man and his pregnant sister with a chain in Lake Worth Beach after he attempted to fire his gun at the man, but it failed due to it being jammed.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), Jefferson Saint Juste, 33, initiated his two-day attack on July 4 in Lake Worth Beach.

The victim told deputies that Saint Juste grabbed his hair unprovoked, prompting the victim to push Saint Juste, causing him to fall and injure his head.

PBSO said that the following night, the same victim was sitting outside his apartment in Lake Worth Beach when Saint Juste approached him wearing a black mask and jacket while wielding a semi-automatic handgun in one hand and a chain in the other.

The probable cause affidavit states that as Saint Juste pointed the gun at the victim and attempted to pull the trigger, the weapon jammed.
