Chinese rogue communication devices found in Solar Panels

Undocumented Chinese devices found in solar panels

Capable of damaging our Power Grids

Officials are reportedly reassessing the risk posed by Chinese-made devices found in solar panels that are capable of damaging the energy infrastructure, destabilizing the power grid and triggering widespread blackouts.

Over the past nine months, “rogue communication devices” not listed in product documents were found in solar power inverters and batteries from several Chinese suppliers, according to sources familiar with the matter who spoke with Reuters.

The undocumented devices were found after U.S. experts disassembled the renewable energy equipment to check for security issues, prompting officials to review the potential dangers of the Chinese-made devices, according to the publication.

“We know that China believes there is value in placing at least some elements of our core infrastructure at risk of destruction or disruption,” Mike Rogers, a former director of the U.S. National Security Agency, told Reuters. “I think that the Chinese are, in part, hoping that the widespread use of inverters limits the options that the West has to deal with the security issue.”

Democrats enriching our enemies and improvishing our people

Without a replacement, abandoning fossil fuels, supports China

"Wind turbines and solar panels that can generate electricity intermittently, are themselves totally dependent on fossil fuels for all their components. Renewables offer NO energy independence, as America has never imported electricity from foreign countries. Wind and solar just generate intermittent electricity.

Further, the raw materials that are essential for building EV batteries, wind turbines, and solar panels, are increasingly dependent on the supply chain of exotic minerals and metals being mined in developing countries with miniscule labor or environmental regulations.

With America representing only four percent of the world’s population, the elite leaders desire to have America’s emissions lowered to reduce its impact on the world’s climate, is like that of someone poring a bucket of hot water into the ocean and claiming that it will change the temperature of the entire ocean!"

How will America run its military (ships, planes, and vehicles) without fuel?

Biden "saving the Planet"

Biden Admits To Killing Coal Industry In Public Statement

While the United States continues to struggle with energy issues, President Joe Biden bragged at a Wednesday speech in Chicago, Illinois, that no new coal-fired power plants would be built. In the video of his address, Biden boasted that the administration’s economic and energy policies had discouraged the construction of new coal-fired power plants while praising the benefits of green energy technologies.

His comments come a month after a report from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, published in May 2023, warned that if temperatures this summer are above average, the power grids serving most of the Northeast and a majority of people to the West of the Mississippi face the high possibility of rolling blackouts.

A high-ranking official with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) expressed concern in early June that “dire” and “catastrophic consequences” might occur if the Biden administration continued to push for the end of fossil fuels before green energy was able to feed the U.S. power grid adequately.

"The promoters of the climate scam have a variety of deceptions to get the gullible to accede to their socialist plans. Those deceptions range from the quite sophisticated to the completely preposterous."

Democrats are celebrating the higher gas prices

Biden ADMITS They Raised GAS Prices ON PURPOSE!

If you thought for a minute that the ‘elite’ give a flying F about you, your wallet or your family, you thought wrong. The only thing they care about is CONROL.

Throughout history the governments of the world have thought they were smarter than the markets and have destroyed economies by forcing their ideologies into becoming infeasible policies.

Biden and his handlers are just the latest ones to do this. Do we all want to run on clean energy? Sure, why not? As long as it is prices competitively and abundant, why wouldn’t everyone want to. However, the technology is not there yet and artificially raising the price of the resources we DO have will only hurt those of us with less.

If you thought the left gave a flying F about ‘poor people’ this is all the proof you need to learn otherwise.

The Case against Renewable Energy

The Absolute nonsense of green energy

A documentary produced by the “far green left” has in fact put the argument forward “that renewable energy is not clean, not green and not practical,” according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.

See the below video from April 2020 that discusses the environmental documentary film, ‘The Planet of the Humans,' that “skewers the renewable energy industry.” If you want to see Michael Moore's film, it's on YouTube.

Green New Deal will Sink America

Special Interests Group Pressuring Biden to Sink the USA

The singular most terrifying prospect of the ‘green’ agenda of the Biden-Harris regime and their special interest backers is that the left are completely aware that the changes they are seeking to bring about will absolutely devastate the middle class and destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs. Even on the back of the economy devastating and wildly unnecessary COVID restrictions, the left simply doesn’t care.

Environmental extremist, special interests backed by a cadre of Democrat Governors will soon launch a more than $10 million advertising campaign bent on pressuring the Biden-Harris regime and Democrat-Socialist controlled Congress to dump trillions of taxpayer dollars into “climate change” and “clean energy” dumpster fires. Hoover-Stanford Study on Biden's Proposals

New Stanford Study Suggests Biden's Agenda Will Have 4 Devastating Economic Consequences

Media outlets have repeatedly asserted that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s tax agenda would only hurt the wealthy. But a new study shows that Biden’s tax and regulatory agenda could seriously hurt the economy overall.

Four economists from Stanford University’s Hoover Institution analyzed Biden’s proposals to increase taxes, reinstate and expand a host of regulations, and create new subsidies for healthcare and renewable energy. The study concludes that these interventions would distort labor incentives, decrease productivity, and kill jobs.

Lighting Up Lake Worth with Clean Cavitation Energy

“Energy Tourism” appears to be in the future for Lake Worth

with it becoming an “Economic Powerhouse.”

Mayor Pam Triola has been instrumental in both “Solar power” and “Gulfstream power.” She began with a solar farm she brought to Lake Worth and is already delivering significant power to the electric grid through the Lake Worth power station… Ed Liberty, Electric Utility Director Lake Worth, brought her good ideas into the Power Utility and the two of them are now reshaping the energy future of Lake Worth.

Both Ed and Mayor Pam are also involved in the groundbreaking work to harness the electric power producing potential of Gulfstream Current. This is a project where FAU received a Federal grant to develop the turbine technology, and in the near future the goal will be running the power from the turbines to the Lake Worth Power grid.

Even more impressive, because of the electricity and the money it can make for Lake Worth, and for the Energy Tourism that could result from it, is the development of a “Cavitation Energy” prototype at the Lake Worth Power Utility, funded by the owners of CAVITATION ENERGY SYSTEMS and to be built by Florida Atlantic University.

I believe this will be the Alternative Energy project that Lake Worth could actually get “rich” with, if a town could “get rich.”  Cavitation Energy is CLEAN ENERGY . Even it’s waste - Steam  byproduct, can be used to clean polluted water if we wish ( water polluted by someone else). In other words, this is beyond clean!

FAU tests already showed the first  Cavitation Energy  System prototype could take a small generation of power and use this  to create Cavitation implosions in a “cavitation engine” that multiplies the source power to  far beyond what science used to believe possible.

Think of the “cavitation engine” as a modular “engine” using something similar to diesel injectors that create the bubbles and shoot them into impact chambers, where the cavitation bubbles ignite at 18,000 degrees kelvin, and generate plasma/steam for a turbine to make electricity.

FAU has proven that with fresh water being shot into the impact chambers, the bubble implosions create enough steam to run a turbine for electrical production putting out 5 times the power put into it by solar, natural gas or Gulfstream Energy.  With saltwater used instead, the implosion reactions are far more violent, releasing closer to 18 times the power put in…but the long term operation with salt needs a few more tweaks before it can be utilized for a town….future grants are necessary, of course.

For now, the 5 times increase is very dramatic all by itself and Cavitation Energy Systems is  presently in talks with the town to get the new  prototype built at the  Lake Worth power plant where it could run a large building in phase one, a city block in phase 2, and the whole downtown in a phase 3. The system is perfectly modular, allowing very easing scaling of additional power. 10 megawatts of Solar produced Electricity would become 50 megawatts of Electricity in our grid.

The future could mean a huge net EXPORT of electrical energy for Lake Worth, generating  untold  millions of dollars per year to Lake Worth and then “ENERGY TOURISM” - where companies and countries come from all over the world to learn how they could use Cavitation Energy.

Lake Worth (Beach) and its Atlantic Ocean Gulfstream Energy

Lake Worth Beach wants to harness the Gulf Stream’s power

[Palm Beach Post] LAKE WORTH BEACH – "Lake Worth Beach wants to become the first place in the world to convert the power of the ocean’s current into energy.

'The ideal location is, ironically Lake Worth Beach,' said Ed Liberty, director of the electric utility.

The small beach town is positioned along the Atlantic coast where the current is concentrated in a 60-mile channel between Florida and the Bahamas, Mayor Pam Triolo said. 'This creates the perfect place to access the Gulf Stream.'

The proposal would tap the underwater current to turn a series of turbines and capture the energy of the ocean for transmission to the mainland.

The question is, how will the city pay for the initial $60 million testing it would take to build the facility."

I believe I know someone who has the answer to the Post's question.

Elementary students have ideas for Lake Worth City Commission

Let Lake Worth learn from mini city

Striving to find a creative and new way to solve the financial woes in Lake Worth has been illustrated recently by fifth-grade students at Hidden Oaks Elementary, who created a miniature city powered by renewable energy (“Students’ ‘Electric City’ teaches energy efficiency,” April 21.

The city commissioners and mayor should go and see this fine example of modern thinking. Instead of trying to sell our public assets (beach, parks and green spaces) to developers and sports billionaires, and creating more traffic and urban sprawl, free or cheap renewable power will attract businesses and higher wages to our community. The community would then thrive and prosper.

Let’s not waste this great example of progressive thinking from the minds of local children, who seem to understand what is needed to move us forward into the future.

  • There is no analysis in this, simply replaces existing, whether overlit or not, with equivalent amount of LED light.
  • Lazy contract with no work or engineering analysis at all.
  • Your city deserves better.
  • Siemens acts like the experts, and town managers are easily fooled by them.
  • This is just a sales contract for profit, with no work behind it at all, you should be appalled.

Mario

Nothing fazed this commission last night. After all, Hector Samario of Siemens has been walking around city hall for 14 months--they were all brainwashed. Last night, the commission was sitting on the dais with a big S (stupid and sold) on their foreheads. Siemens was discussed at the end of the night, a strategic move by the city to eliminate much of the public who had left earlier. Their minds were already made up. The commission would not allow a workshop on it (the mayor said we already had loads of past discussions) and residents had only 2 minutes to talk on three relative items on the agenda that normally would have been 6 minutes of public commentary. Not one resident spoke in favor of the $23 million commitment over 15 years.  To the city administration and four commissioners who voted for it, it was as easy as spending someone else's buck at the Dollar Store.

I still have a million questions that were never brought up nor answered.  The city, essentially, will be in a break-even situation. Siemens?  Who knows--they're not talking about the millions they will be making off our city. I would think that in any contract, you would know all the details and let the public know what the monetary details are.

With rebates and tax breaks that Siemens will get and the steady climb of electric rates, more and more people believe that Solar is the answer. Even Maxwell, after knowing the electric rates would go up, voted for the Siemens contract. We were sold by a smooth salesman. And we have no idea what's in store for us as Siemens will use sub-contractors--we could have shoddy installation, poor customer service, hidden fees and cost over-runs, a possibility that was brought up by one resident last night.

Once again, this is all about getting pesky issues off the city manager's plate, a commission that is paranoid that we can't progress because of lack of money and a sales pitch that is probably too good to be true. Time will tell. Now we can go on to the next contrived crisis and farm out our casino complex.

Greenfield, California and Wind Power

Comment Up

And speaking of Greenfield, California, Susan Stanton is in the news about renewable energy. This is a state that is conducive to and produces wind energy. The levelized cost of energy from wind turbines in 1993 was about 7.5 cents per kilowatt/hour. With current wind research and development efforts, the Energy Commission estimates that newer technologies can reduce the cost of wind energy to 3.5 cents per kilowatt-hour.

GREENFIELD — The City Council is considering the financial viability of a Greenfield Wine Turbine Facility and have decided to have the city manager analyze the matter further.

“We have a really good wind corridor and it would be financially advantageous to build and sell this energy back to an investor, in this case PG&E,” said City Manager Susan Stanton. Read about it...

Sierra Club's positions on Florida bills

The Sierra Club Florida ExCom  has approved the following positions which have been sent to Governor Scott.

Sierra has requested that he sign--
  • HB 277 which eliminates property tax assessment of the value of renewable energy improvements to residential property
  • SB 1770 which contains a provision prohibiting the subsidy of construction seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line.
Sierra has requested that he veto--
  • HB 319 which reduces local governments' options for making development pay its own way
  • SB 682 which gives blanket approval to some uses of coal ash and exempts its disposal from the prohibition on hazardous waste landfills in Florida
  • HB 999 which ratifies the Cabinet's approval of 30 year sugar leases in the Everglades Agricultural Area mooting a challenge filed by the Florida Wildlife Federation.  This provides an end run around constitutionally mandated separation of powers and effectively denies citizens meaningful access to the courts
  • SB 1808 which facilitates and advances the flawed deal between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Romney's Energy Plan

Click here for White Paper on Mitt Romney's energy Agenda.

In a major change, Romney would put states in control of permitting oil and gas projects on federal lands within their borders, upending the long-standing approach that leaves Interior Department regulators in charge of those permitting decisions as well as the lengthy environmental reviews required by federal law, according to FuelFix.

NextEra Energy - FPL

Comment Up
As Lake Worth contemplates choosing its new energy provider, FPL, founded in 1925 and located right up the street in Juno Beach and one of the big conglomerates that says it wants our business and perhaps the whole enchilada, is back in the news again.

As FPL is the largest employer in the State of Florida, it is not uncommon to read about them not only for humongous rate increase requests but for salaries of their top executives. Lewis Hay, chairman and chief executive of NextEra Energy, collected $22.6 million, up from $19.6 million in 2010.

FPL likes to brag that it gives safe and reliable service to its 4.6 million Florida customers and holds power generating assets in 20 states. Back in 2007, it wanted to build a coal burning power plant in Moore Haven near the western edge of Lake Okeechobee. That request was turned down because of the probability that it would emit toxic chemicals into the lake as well as into the Everglades.

It changed its name a few years back to NextEra Energy to highlight its commitment to renewable energy. It owns two nuclear facilities, one of which is St. Lucie where Lake Worth owns two shares.

Recently they requested a $690.4 million rate increase with a settlement offer of $548 million through 2013 stating that they would be able to continue their high reliability, excellent customer service and low emissions allowing them to have a 10% rate of return on equity. The maximum allowable is 11%. The settlement is giving them cost recovery for $3 billion worth of power plants and shifting the costs to residential ratepayers.

When FPL presented its proposal for our business at City Hall on August 14, 2012, I didn't get any sense that they were the least bit excited about our business. They have 4.6  million customer accounts, 42,588 MW in operation, $25.3 billion in operating revenues and $53 billion in total assets. It was the least interesting of all the presentations.

Two Bad Ideas - Sugarcane Burning and Windmills in the Glades

Comment Up
Mr. Frank J. Morelli posted this as a comment on my blog entitled, Wind Farms in the Glades, another Bad Idea. As his points are well said, I have moved his commentary up to the front page.

Two Bad Ideas

Last week the Palm Beach County Commission decided to grow and burn sugarcane on the old Mecca Farms property, and this week the Commission approved 12,900 acres of wind turbines that will ultimately employ 15 to 20 skilled workers in the Glades, where more than 4000 residents are looking for jobs.

Unemployment rates in November were 44.9 percent in South Bay and 30.4 percent in Pahokee.

Environmental groups are concerned about the negative environmental impact of over one-hundred, 30 story high fans. Besides, there are less expensive and more efficient ways to conserve energy like the renewable, geothermal, self-sufficient Free Enterprise Agency plan that I proposed three years ago for the Glades.

If the county had employed that plan there would now be 2000 permanent light manufacturing jobs in the Glades.

Burning sugarcane off the Mecca Farms property is a really bad idea. In the Glades burning is a long standing practice and anyone who moves under the rain of ash cannot complain, but residents who are already situated next to the old Mecca Farms debacle are entitled to continue to enjoy clean air.

I believe the Commissioners are about to buy more lawsuits. Why close sugar production in the Glades, take away their jobs, only to create a nuisance and jobs in Palm Beach Gardens?

Not only will environmentalists sue to prevent the Mecca Farms sugarcane burning, but nearby residents will have a cause of action sounding in nuisance.

I proposed the creation of a county association to be formed to construct and operate a job training and production facility for 2000 workers. The then President of the Florida Senate Jeffery Atwater favored the plan. I drafted legislation and offered it to Senator Larcenia Bullard who proposed a modified plan for Miami-Dade.

Commissioner Aaronson, usually a cautious member of the Commission, favors the Wind Turbines and wants to proceed without hearing from environmental groups.

I think that is a mistake. Environmental groups are poised to stop 114 whirling fans that will only employ 10 to 15 workers and the fast moving blades will kill 40 times that many birds each year.
Burning and turbines are two really bad ideas for the economy and the environment.

Wind Farm in the Glades - Another "train to nowhere"

Comment Up

Another Scam in Palm Beach County.

With the promise of 300 temporary jobs over nearly 13,000 acres in the heartland of the Everglades as well as the threat of killing off our wildlife by twirling blades, Burt Aaronson, a Palm Beach County Commissioner who never lets us down said, "All these people out of work are endangered species too." The Unions used their clout and lobbied its passing because of jobs. More jobs, more members. More members, more dues. Everyone should know by now that the Unions just cost government billions in wasted money usually to themselves.

Literal beacons of the "green" energy movement, giant wind turbines have been one of the renewable energy sources of choice for the US government, which has spent billions of taxpayer dollars subsidizing their construction and use across the country. But high maintenance costs, high rates of failure, and fluctuating weather conditions that affect energy production render wind turbines expensive and inefficient, which is why more than 14,000 of them have since been abandoned. It is just a matter of time that the wind farm in the Glades will go the same route.

Before government subsidies for the giant metals were cut or eliminated in many areas, wind farms were an energy boom business. But in the post-tax subsidy era, the costs of maintaining and operating wind turbines far outweighs the minimal power they generate in many areas, which has left a patchwork of wind turbine graveyards in many of the most popular wind farming areas of the US.

Read the rest of the story.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory has gathered data on a region-by-region basis to identify the nation’s wind-energy resource. The results of this effort are contained in the Wind Energy Resource Atlas of the United States. The Southeast region consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina.

“There is little wind energy potential in the Southeast region for existing wind turbine applications (Zabransky et al. 1981). Even along coastal areas, existing data from exposed sites indicate at best only class 2 at 50 m (164 ft) above ground. The only places in the Southeast region estimated to have class 3 or higher annual average wind resource are the exposed ridge crests and mountain summits confined to northeastern Georgia and extreme northwestern South Carolina.”

Did we eliminate that one wind tower on our beach redevelopment? We waste more money in this country on "trains to nowhere."
