Project Veritias visits Maui

"Just a few months after the deadly Lahaina blaze claimed over 100 lives, residents are still grappling with many questions about their government’s emergency response.

Maui residents spoke to Project Veritas journalist and described waking up on the morning of the devastating fire to find their homes without water or electricity. This was hours before the fire was first reported around 3pm local time. Government officials from the Maui Mayor’s office and Governor Josh Green’s office deny these claims. When we recorded these officials on undercover video, they clung to the official narrative that water service was not interrupted.

We also discovered that Hawaii Governor Josh Green signed an emergency housing proclamation just THREE WEEKS before the fire that granted him special powers – like shutting off water mains. The residents of Lahaina, Maui deserve answers.

So many homes, businesses, and livelihoods were destroyed in those fateful hours where water and electricity appear to have malfunctioned."
