Secret Chinese Satellite Iran used to Target U.S. bases

China Sold Iran the Satellite That Aimed the Missiles That Killed Three American Soldiers

The satellite in question is a TEE-01B, a Chinese-made spy satellite Iran acquired in September 2024 for $36 million.

It provides high-resolution surveillance imagery — the kind you'd want if you were trying to map the layout of an American air base in a foreign country, identify where aircraft are parked, and time your volley for maximum damage.

Iran didn't develop this capability on its own. Beijing sold it to them.

Chinese Spy Satellite sold to Iran

China Sold Iran the Satellite That Aimed the Missiles That Killed Three American Soldiers

Army First Lt. Tyler James Feehan was twenty-five years old. Pvt. Isabella Gonzales was nineteen. Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad's was twenty-eight. All three died on July 17 when 20 Iranian ballistic missiles hit a U.S. military base in Jordan called Muwaffaq Salti; a strike so precise it damaged eight F-15 fighter jets and ripped a wing off an A-10 Thunderbolt II.

The precision wasn't luck. According to new reporting, Chinese satellite imagery helped Iran aim.

America High Risk for GPS hacking

The West Is Terrifyingly Vulnerable to Chinese Hacking of GPS

  • Big risk: America’s Global Positioning System (GPS) is exposed to possible attacks from hostile nations like China every day. The U.S. must update out-of-date technology to prevent disruptions to the GPS that would cripple our economy.
  • “Both China and Russia have shown that they can take down Western satellites,” writes Diana Furchtgott-Roth, director of the Center for Energy, Climate, and Environment.
  • “The global cost of GPS interference is too high for world governments to wait for it to fail,” she writes.
The West may be divided on tariffs, but all countries can agree that protecting global navigation satellite systems from interference from China, Russia and Iran is a matter of extreme importance. Disruptions would pose an immense economic and national security threat, costing trillions of dollars daily, dwarfing any market disruptions from tariffs.

Global navigation satellite systems are free services that send positioning, timing and navigation systems to phones, banks and other electric utilities. America has the global positioning system (GPS), Europe has Galileo and China has Bei Dou.

But these systems are vulnerable. They depend on satellites, which can be damaged by electromagnetic storms or military attacks. Even with the satellites intact, hacking incidents proliferate, using inexpensive, easily available hardware.

Both China and Russia have shown that they have the capacity to take down Western satellites. The University of Texas student Zach Clements, meanwhile, has traced GPS manipulation to Iran.

Nukes in Space

Space Force Vice Chief Issues Warning About Activity In Space

The United States Space Force should pivot its focus to keeping pace with weaponry used in orbit by the nation’s adversaries, a top General has warned.

According to Space.com, Gen Michael A. Guetlein, Vice Chief of Space Operations spoke at the 16th annual McAleese “Defense Programs” Conference in Arlington, Virgina, Tuesday, and warned that Space Force needs to rethink how its approaches its satellite security measures.

“The reason we stood the United States Space Force up, was to make a pivot,” Guetlein said. “Because we had seen our near peers starting to catch up with us and starting to get very capable and very determined at denying our ability to use space.”

Guetlein said the Space Force needs to work on enhancing its war-fighting capabilities.

He continued: “What we did not inherit when we stood up the United States Space Force, is space superiority as a core function. We didn’t have the doctrine, we didn’t have culture, we didn’t have the kit. And part of standing up the Space Force was to make it a war-fighting force, capable of defending our capabilities in and through space, capable of guaranteeing that we are going to have space superiority for the joint force, no matter what the joint-force is asked to do.”

Guetlein noted that one of the issues is people thinking that Space Force isn’t actually real, and this attitude is working against the U.S. because people aren’t necessarily worried about space.

China on the Move

China Ramps Up War Preparations, Directly Targeting US Across The Pacific

And it will include attacks in space. China’s increasing military ‘exercises’ start to look more like operations. The head of Space Forces Indo-Pacific warned that China’s expanding military exercises, aided by an increased use of space, are blurring the line between drills and a potential invasion of Taiwan.

“It is clear in the increasing complexity with which the PLA exercises are done in a way that it becomes very difficult… to discern an exercise from an invasion, and that’s clearly by design,” the commander of Space Forces Indo-Pacific, said. “We have begun to see the space piece integrated into some of that.”

A decade ago, the Chinese only had about two dozen satellites. Now, they operate more than 1,000—most of which are “specifically designed to track U.S. forces.

“(China) has been building a space architecture specifically designed to keep the U.S. outside the Second Island Chain,” the commander said. Their strategic goal is to limit U.S. and allied forces’ ability to intervene in key conflicts, particularly in the South China Sea and around Taiwan and the Philippines.

Iran behind the drones hovering in New Jersey skies?

Iran’s new massive drone ship left home port last month – and went weeks without being spotted

A newly minted and massive Iranian drone carrier was captured in new satellite images sailing in the Persian Gulf this week — the ship’s first reported sighting since leaving its home port for the first time in mid-November.

The satellite images taken Thursday by commercial operator Maxar Technologies shows three Iranian drone ships in the waters off the country’s coast as theories have swirled in the US that Iran could be behind the mysterious drone sightings across the tri-state area, according to Business Insider.

Iran’s new carrier — the Shahid Bagheri — is a converted shipping container that was outfitted to support drone operations and was last seen on Nov. 12, when it was captured by satellite imagery sitting in Bandar Abbas.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) claimed to Fox News on Wednesday morning that the drones were possibly being launched by Iran, citing confidential sources. He just might have something there!

U.S. Space Force develops space defense system

Trump's U.S. Space Force has successfully tested the Remote Modular Terminal (RMT)

a groundbreaking technology tailored to disrupt enemy satellite communications

In an era where threats loom as much in outer space as they do on terra firma, the need for advanced defensive systems becomes critical. The RMT represents a significant stride in countering technological threats from global adversaries, particularly in the arena of space warfare.

Specially engineered to jam enemy satellite communications, the RMT achieves this by flooding the airwaves with powerful signal disruptions.

It’s a low-cost solution that enhances the safety of military operators by allowing remote operation, thus avoiding the need for personnel to be present in potentially hazardous conditions.

In a practical demonstration of its capabilities, the RMT was recently deployed across two separate locations but managed from a third, underscoring its operational flexibility and proving its potential as a pivotal tool in modern warfare.

Is Stars Wars really here?

"...the Chinese are preparing to conduct space warfare against satellites, said the official who is familiar with intelligence reports about the satellites. The Chinese appear to be testing their capability for intercepting and either damaging or destroying orbiting satellites by testing how close they can maneuver to a satellite, the U.S. official said."

Can you even imagine that we ever would have come this far? Weather and information satellites that have morphed into intelligence gathering satellites now may be shot down by our enemies which have grown daily. According to our intelligence, China has now launhced three such satellites. Read about it here.
