'QAnon Shaman' from January 6th protest registers for congressional candidacy in 2024

Arizona's Jacob Chanley, known as the "QAnon Shaman," has announced that he will run for Congress in 2024.

Chansley, 35, rose to notoriety after entering the Capitol Building on Jan. 6 2021, wearing animal skins, horns, and having his face and body painted.

The uniquely adorned rioter quickly became the poster child for the kerfuffle that took place on Capitol Hill during the protests to the certification of the 2020 presidential election, as Fox News reported.

The 35-year-old submitted a statement of interest that, according to the Associated Press, indicates he intends to compete as a Libertarian for the 8th Congressional District seat in Arizona in the upcoming year.

Consequently, some innocent people got tangled up in this chaos leading them towards prison confinement unjustifiably.

Jake’s mother Martha Chansley has shared some good news: he is released from prison. We can only assume that the positive shift in his case is a result of Tucker Carlson airing previously withheld evidence on his show.

Valiant News reported earlier this week that Carlson released previously suppressed footage that showed Capitol Police officers behaving like “tour guides” for January 6 defendant, 33 year old Navy veteran Jacob Chansley, otherwise known as “QAnon Shaman.”

“Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape,” said Carlson of the footage. “The tapes show the Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson was given exclusive access by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to U.S. Capitol security videos and other footage, most of it hidden from public view.

If Carlson’s first broadcast special on the footage that aired on March 6 is any indication, the prevailing Jan. 6 narrative is on life support, and the day’s legacy of troubling questions continues to deepen as a result. His second airing was of U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Tarik Johnson, who said he was left without direction on Jan. 6. He never was called to testify before the Jan 6 Select Committee.

Carlson aired Capitol security video showing Capitol Police leading the QAnon Shaman around the building and letting him into the U.S. Senate, where he posed on the rostrum and made a speech. He eventually was sentenced to four years in prison.
