The agenda for this June 19th Commission meeting is not available online so where did this come from?
So where did it come from?
It came from the online agenda that was recently posted.
That's what happens when you try to be a wise guy, anony at 3:54.
After reading the original post and first comment, I looked for the meeting backup online and it wasn't there at 4:00 PM. It must have just been posted. Maybe the blog author gets a direct feed when something is put on the City's website.
Anonymous--You probably forgot to REFRESH the page. It was there and then I put it up. Thanks...I don't get any direct feed from City Hall.
Why don't you call the clerk's office and ask them when they uploaded it if this would make you happy--if they can even remember something so innocuous that is.
These boundry's are not in the motion that commissioner Mulvehill proposed. She proposed the downtown area only be limited with height limitations, with exceptions. Her motion did not included west of Dixie or east of Federal.
I move for the commission to approve the ballot item for the November 6, 2012 election and to direct the City attorney to create the appropriate ordinance and bring back to the Commission for the next meeting on July3rd for first reading.
A final motion can be more explicit if the Commission desires.
744 pages without an index.
Still looking for the CM's Casino backup.
So much for transparency from this CM.
Did you mean the bookmarks to go to a specific section or page? It's there.
It should be very interesting to see whether this commission really wants the people to weigh in on their city and vote on this. I doubt seriously if the majority commission will go along with this including ornstein. He knows where his butter is. Democracy is only cool when you have the vote wrapped up.
I don't understand why a 7.5 year process and an expenditure of over a million dollars would give birth to only this.
I somehow thought it would be more comprehensive and that the Charter Amendment would be followed by Zoning Ordinances that would result in changes to the Land Development Regulations.
As this present commission is NOT listening to what the people have said they want, it is proposed that we vote on it.
Land use changes are ALL POLTIICAL and decided on a 3 to 2 vote. This process is democratic as it affects all of us here who deserve a vote.
I am also rather sure it will tick off developers and the like if the people actually vote on what they want in their own city.
The image and character of low-rise Intimate Buildings colonnaded Lake and Lucerne avenues and our small Town Key-West,Federal and Mediterranean style architecture is what attracts tourism and new residents, who once visited only.I just sold such home, to a one time visitor.
This Commission did not create thise attractive aspect of our City. They are showing incapable of creating revenue generating businesses, though given by Laurence McNamara.Self rpomotion is what they are there for they show, the fools who voted them into office.
And the disrespectful attempt at destroying this valuable architectural attraction, like the outrageous CRA is doing, is showing Lake Worth Citizens ,who elected them, that they spit at them and laugh at the stupidity of voting them in,
the destroyers of the viability of Lake Worth. People don't come to look at them.
Our R.O.water is being sold through the backdoor, for how much per gallon??
Any preceding market research done?We paid $35,000,000,- for the complete R.O.plant and give away our paid for with borrowed money drinking well water!!!
Voting should be done with brains not with malicious gossip and disrespect for our City.Don't like it here?Get lost.Move to Riviera Beach,or Downtown Miami to the dsigusting inhuman, Condo Canyons.
