Quote of the Day - Leftest Radicals changed Marriage

Comment Up
“I think we’re already seeing what’s next from the ‘LGBT’ and same-sex-marriage movement – that is, an aggressive and uncompromising push for forced acceptance, forced compliance, and forced acquiescence. For these people, ‘tolerance’ doesn’t actually mean ‘tolerance,’ just as ‘diversity’ doesn’t actually mean ‘diversity.’ What they want is a very selective tolerance and very selective diversity, which, of course, isn’t actually real tolerance or real diversity.

Marriage is not ours to “redefine" just as a dog is a dog, a cat is a cat and marriage is marriage.

~ Paul Kengor

From his book “Takedown: From Communists to Progressives, How the Left has Sabotaged Family and Marriage.”

And this sabotage has been occurring for years by radical Jihadist progressives, Marxists and Communists USA who all have been working diligently with a few main objectives--to destroy the family and destroy religion and destroy marriage. Now they have liberals on the Supreme Court of the United States ruling on a 5/4 decision in their favor to do that very thing.

What comes next?  The First Amendment?

Thank you ! A local Lake Worth lesbian demands tolerance from everyone but has the intolerance to tell people of faith to " take their prayers out of city hall and back to Walmart".

Right back at you anon at 1:47 . How does the fact that some people believe that marriage is between a man and a women affect your ability to make real families, real babies, make real love ,care for each other and marry whomever they want to?
You are certainly entitled to and have legal, equal protection under the law. NOBODY argues against that. Marriage is not a RIGHT guaranteed to ANYONE under the constitution. That includes heterosexual marriage.
Marriage is however a sacrament within the Christian church.
So much for separation of church and state, Lake Worth Lesbian. You want Christians to recognize your rights? Recognize ours.

Marriage is a sacrament as well as a civil institution. Even in America, if you want to get married in a church you still have to go to City Hall and get a marriage license, which is issued by the government. If a church does not to marry people, there is no punitive damage or strong arm of the government that is going to drop down and make them perform same sex marriage. I don't care if you're Priest, pastor or rabbi - a church is still within its rights to withhold this sacrement.

However within certain Chistian denominations there is support and affirmation of marriage rights from what some may consider theologically liberal. Some examples of Christian religious organizations and denominations voicing support for same-sex marriage include: Metropolitian Community Church, the United Church of Chist, the Episcopal Church of the United States, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Presbyterian Church (USA), the Quakers, and the Unitarian Universalists to name a few... Then there's the Anglican Church of Canada, Evangelical Luthetn Church in Canada, the Church of Denmark, the Church of Sweden, the Church of Norway, the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, the United Protestant Churches of France and Belgium, the Icelandic Church, and he Evangelical Church in Berlin and Brandenburg just to name a few...even the more conservative and or orthodox supporters include some Mennonite churches.

And while not Christians, let's not leave out the liberal Buddhists, Hindus, and Native American religions or the Jewish faith.

At the end of the day if you just simply go back to the original text of the constitution, the First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Seems pretty clear to me… If any so-called Christian tradition doesn't feel like performing a sacrament called marriage upon any persons it deems unsuitable… They still have the free right to do that. And no one threatening that right. So if you don't want to marry gay people than just don't marry gay people… There's plenty of other places people can go to get married.
