Attempted Sexual Assault
Female victim was walking her dog on 12th Ave South
just East of Lake Osborne Dr. when she was grabbed from the rear by a white
male suspect wearing jean shorts and no shirt. The suspect knocked her to
the ground and then pulled her by her hair to a grassy alley way. The
suspect then tried pulling down her shorts. The victim fought back and
was able to free herself and run back to her residence. K9 and the eagle
checked the area, but were met with negative results. SIU and crime scene
also responded to the scene.
