Daniel Morgan, an Hispanic and also a first generation American. He was a caseworker at Guatemalan Maya Center. Morgan is 27, and said he was prompted to run for office to "bring a voice and representation" for the scores of immigrant families.This district race should not be about one's heritage. We are all Americans. Focus on that and the qualifications of each.

I didn't have time to listen to Mr. Diaz's interview in it's entirety but no where on his website does he say that he's a lawyer like you claim in the post. It does say that that he has a JD from NSU "where he specialized in environmental and land use law."
If you can help clear this up by directing everyone to the place in the video where he represents himself as a lawyer that would help.
@1:14...did I say that the "lawyer" term was in this video? Or that he holds himself out as an attorney? He went to law school. Audubon Everglades says he got his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University.

So only Mr. Diaz can clear it up. Is he a lawyer or an attorney? Is there a distinction?
There are two things I care about: Law and Order, and The Environment. I think I know where Diaz stands on the Environment, but I'm less sure about how he feels about Law Enforcement.
I just found out that US Fish and Wildlife are largely responsible for the starvation deaths of our beloved Manatees.
Here we have a case where the US Government can't even enforce its own laws.
I support the Police, and I support the Environment. Hopefully, these two things can work together.
People don't usually refer to themselves as lawyers, unless they have passed the Bar Exam.

My mistake, I guess. I was going by your statement that "Reinaldo states that he is a lawyer" in the post.
I just figured that if you're saying that he himself has stated something you could point to the place where he actually states it.
He - Diaz - stated several times during the NAPC Forum at the Playhouse that he was a lawyer/atty.
He, and Daniel. also mentioned "shifting PBSO dollars to social programs" more than once, which of course is the alternate pronunciation of "defund the police"

Yes, 11:43, I'm afraid you have the right of it regarding Law and Order. I have to say in his defense, however, that the Community which he is so familiar with probably does have many situations where a Social Worker is needed vs PBSO.
Unfortunately, my community requires real policing, and I would not entertain voting for a candidate who does not wholeheartedly support PBSO.
He still has time to address that issue.
