FLorida HB 173 Prohibits Law Enforcement complying with ICE

HB 173: Nonenforcement of Immigration Detainers and Nonjudicial Immigration Warrants

GENERAL BILL by Polo ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Eskamani (Both women; both Democrats)

Nonenforcement of Immigration Detainers and Nonjudicial Immigration Warrants;
Prohibits law enforcement agencies, correctional institutions, & specified officers from complying with immigration detainers or nonjudicial immigration warrants; prohibits such entities & officers from engaging in certain acts based on individual's citizenship or immigration status; provides immunity from liability; requires correctional institutions & law enforcement agencies to provide guidance & support by date certain for specified purpose; repeals provisions relating to federal immigration enforcement.
