Jon Stewart having a hissy fit

Comedians and activists criticise the 42 Republicans and 1 Democrat for blocking a bill to ban burn pits.

It seems that Jon Stewart, who was not a veteran, jumped to a conclusion without knowing all of the facts as the PACT Act "would enable $400 billion over the next 10 years in spending completely unrelated to veterans."

Senator Pat Toomey called the PACT Act’s promised spending of $400 billion ‘completely unrelated to veterans.’ He also called the assigned amount “a budget gimmick.”

“As written, the legislation would not just help America’s veterans as designed. It could also allow Democrats to effectively spend the same money twice and enable hundreds of billions in new, unrelated spending on the discretionary side of the federal budget,” McConnell said on Thursday.

Who cares about what these losers think about anything, they have no substance or souls anymore!

Jon Stewart aside, we are frequently asked to vote for or against Bills that we know very little about. Even when we look them up, they are nothing but legalese, and almost impossible to understand.

I just looked up 520, which is one of the Bills Caruso voted YES on, and I have no idea what it is about.

Mike Caruso voted YES on all Republican bills--300 of them!

Yes, I read his record. I read the bill, but I have no idea what it is trying to say. What do you think it says?

520--It states that information about university president applicants and the selection process will be kept secret until the pool of candidates is narrowed down to three finalists.
We have diverted from the blog content.

Well, to me, it's just a word salad. I think it needs to be distilled to a few words that say what it actually means. Where does it mention 3 applicants?

Don't recall where I read that anonymous. However here is the pdf.
