Beach Redevelopment not costed properly

Comment Up
Quote of the Day: Lake Worth Commissioner Suzanne Mulvehill said, "It sends a message out into the community that we're ineffective and inefficient in how we're managing this project." Resident, Peggy Fisher, expects the City to live within its budget. However, now that they have passed special assessments, there is little incentive to do so. Oh, we made a gigantic mistake--we can just assess, problem solved.

Cripes, isnt there an educated person, Engineer, Architect that has a check-off list to check all of these things? If its not on the drawings/plans, then somebody goofed big time. I wonder if any restroom fixtures are listed. Is the parking area going to be paved or just dirt.Has a bid been given out for all the parking area stripping? Who is installing all of the curbing, etc? I bet they forgot that bid too.Any street drainage?

The more I read about this the more I realize how staff in charge of this and elected officials are complete morons....I'm so freaking digusted with this whole thing.

I will support the "LOCAL" busines there (Love Benny's) as for the out of towners I will have to think twice. Not because they are from some where else...Only because our local government and project leaders screwed this up so badly.

Yes, call me arrogant and ignorant for punishing new vendors but with the bad taste these blunders leave why would ANYONE want to go there.

Benny's on the beach as supported so many local events over the years give some Cred and applause there to encourage their business to continue success!

Someone pull a freaking rabbit out of their ..... and find a way to make a positive opening for this venue. I'm now concerned if the whole thing can happen with out all of us PAYING out our ..... to make it happen.

GOD I pray please bring us change to help this city to move forward instead of backward for once!
