City Clerk, Pam Lopez

Comment Up
Our City Clerk, Pamela Lopez, has been looking for another job. Back in 2009, she applied for the Clerk position in Ocala. As recently as 5 months ago she interviewed in St. Pete Beach for the City Clerk's position that only ended up paying $58,000 a year. Here in Lake Worth, she makes much, much more. Why would anyone want to leave a job for half the pay?

Lopez, a master municipal clerk, has been the city of Lake Worth's clerk since 2002. She was city clerk for the city of Lauderdale Lakes from 1998 to 2002 and deputy city clerk for the city of Deerfield Beach from 1989 to 1998. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration and is a certified municipal clerk.

Lake Worth just hired Raquel Diaz to head up our code Enforcement. Is this the same Raquel Diaz that was the City Clerk in Pahokee and head of Community Development in South Bay? Perhaps the city is positioning itself just in case Pam finally does land that job.

Or maybe the City is positioning itself for another forced resignation.

Or maybe she knows that she might get canned like all the rest.

Did they REALLY hire the head of community development in South Bay to work in Lake Worth? Have they seen what South Bay looks like?

Don't know if this is the same person or not. Think so, but I don't have her resume.
