Trump says Mark Zuckerberg called him to apologize for Meta flagging ‘fight’ photo

CV NEWS FEED // Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump said that billionaire Meta CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg called him to apologize for the company falsely flagging Trump’s iconic post-assassiantion attempt “fight” photo.

Trump told FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo that Zuckerberg called him “a few times” since a would-be assassin tried to take his life on July 13.

“He called me after the [assassination attempt] and he said that was really amazing, that was really brave,” the 45th president said, adding that Zuckerberg “actually announced he’s not going to support a Democrat … because he respected me for what I did that day.”

Trump said he believed what he did following the attempt on his life was just “a normal response.”

“But I was called by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday, the day before, on this same subject, and he actually apologized,” Trump continued, referring to the controversy surrounding Meta’s platforms Facebook and Instagram flagging the “fight” photo.

Zuckerberg said his company “made a mistake … and they are correcting the mistake,” the former president said.
