Matthew 5pm

It looks like good news for Lake Worth as it appears we are not in the cone. I prayed today.

Palm Beach County can expect hurricane-force winds from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight, with hurricane-force gusts from 7 p.m. tonight to 2 a.m. Friday.

We prayed too and judging by the strong wind coming from the North, the eye will pass us well out into the ocean.
Thank God for listening to our prayers.

Thanks, Laurence. We will still get terrific winds later tonight...hope I can sleep. I plan on keeping my most of my shutters up for another week as we don't know what this crazy storm will do as it's looping around.

It looks like it's turned back to North, Northwest. Ahh, can't stand it.

I think it's still going to be pretty minimal for us. I prayed too! I won't be sleeping much either tonight

I think the Governor did a very good job getting people motivated to prepare for the hurricane, but now I think he has to motivate the same people to go back to work. Lake Avenue still has all of the shutters up, except for our foreign merchants, who at least have enough sense to know if you're not open, you're not going to make any money.

If you want to see a good example of the Capitalist system at work, I recommend that you go to Dunkin Donuts in Lantana, which has been mobbed for two solid days now. They couldn't be any more crowded if they were giving away gold bars.
