Conference in Connecticut on Shariah

"In 1916, Roosevelt observed: Wherever the Mohammedans have had a complete sway, wherever the Christians have been unable to resist them by the sword, Christianity has ultimately disappeared.

Shariah law is famous for making headlines in the West over its penalties, such as beheadings and amputations; its treatment of women and the violence that is allowed, and its relegation to those who follow other faiths to a subservient status.

Now, it seems, there’s a new move to expand its influence in the United States, with a weekend conference in Hartford, Connecticut on “Understanding Shariah” and “how to apply Shariah in a society where most people are not of the same faith.”

Shariah is against all moral standards as we know them. If you want shariah law, go live over there. We have legislative law here in the United States, subject to the constraints of the constitution.

This Shariah law is very very scary. Women, gays, drinkers, drug users, watch out, hope it doesn't take a hold in the USA. I think this is all a test for us Christians, but we just need to put our faith in God and do His will. Faith, love, and hope are so critical during these times. Embrace the sinner, not the sin. Baptist can be pretty judging and hard too, but the Muslims seem so radical. It will be interesting to see how our world and society here in the USA is like in another 10-25 years with respect to all of this.

I am against the death penalty and abortions, they are both forms of murder no matter how you look at it. I find it ironic how many who claim to be Christian actually seem to think that corporal punishment is just fine in our society, go figure. God is the only one to decide when to take a life, our lives, NO ONE else, if in Shariah Law they think they can take a life, then I do not believe that their religion worships the same God and source that most of us do. I really question a lot of the beliefs and actions of this Shariah Law and its followers.
