John G's Manalapan

Comment Up
Roses are still on every table, a tradition of their father, John.

Wendy an owner and Helen a patron

In all the 38 years John G's has been around, they have never once disappointed--the food and service as well as the ambiance is unequaled. The servers treat everyone like family and the portions are generous.

Helen and I had lunch there yesterday after the dog judging. The place was mobbed. One couple sitting in a booth next to ours said, "We love this new location and we don't have to pay for parking." John G's kept all the same prices too.

They will be open on Memorial Day for breakfast. Try it out. You will love it and be among the hundreds of thousands who have enjoyed it over the years.

John G's does have good food, that is for sure, service and all is nice, their prices are a little high though. It is nice now their new location, I like the inside much better than before and it is nice not to have to pay for parking. I wish the new beach building rest. would pay for their customers parking if they dine at one of their places, paying for parking at the beach sucks when you are going there to pay to eat at a rest. The restaurants should consider paying for our parking when we go to dine at their establishments. I am happy JohnG's is doing so well, sometimes a move like this is just what they needed to give a business a second wind of success. Just wish they had a $5 lunch deal.

Besides fast foods, does anyone have a $5 lunch?

Pegasus does, but not sure how good anything there is anymore. They seemed to have gone down hill lately. I don't think they get the business anymore. The last time I was there a few months ago, it didn't have many customers on a Sunday after church like it used to and it seemed very dirty and had poor service. Pollo Tropical is a good choice, homemade and fresh and good prices.

Pegasus now has a buffet after 4pm and it is fabulous. From soup to nuts for $11.99. We are going there for breakfast after the service this morning.
