Talking about the 30 year General Obligation Bond issue on the last page of the ballot.
The City of Lake Worth is doing everything possible to promote this bond: a mailer to registered voters, the city manager speaking at any neighborhood association that wants him, developing a web page and bond calculator and now soliciting the help of The Palm Beach Post to get the word out.
It is all political but the politicians are not really engaged with some not even informed until the last minute on the political mailer...the one who is engaged is the city manager who is not supposed to be political.

Pathetic Michael Bornstein referring to Commissioner McVoy as "Chris", as if he is his friend, whining in this morning's paper.
Glad to see Susan Bucher pointing out his inappropriate dissatisfaction with last on the ballot placement.

LMAO at Bornstein and the crybaby trio here in Lake Worth.Look,this was long planned to go on this presidential election ballot. Why else do you think that Triolo,Maxwell and Amoroso sat there with blank looks on their faces as our roads rotted for the last two years!
According to the unholy trio, children would die, the sun would be extinguished etc. if we didn't pass the bond last time. It failed and then..... NOTHING ! They ignored all of us asking for their plan "B" on how to fix our roads.
So this was their grand plan. They HAD to put it on THIS ballot.
They really and truly have fuc$ed themselves. And it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people.

Fixing our roads requires money.
A lot of it.
No-one from either side has come up with a Plan B.
No-one, period.
So by saying no to the bond, you are only making things worse..and it will only be more expensive down the road.
And saying that it's the Commission's job to come up with a Plan B is nonsensical. This is their/our solution.
Don't you think if there was a Plan B, it would have surfaced by now?
McVoy and Maier aren''t holding 'a better plan' in secrecy.
This is it folks. You may not like it, but it's the only way.
We all have to chip in to make our town better.
