Russian Icons – A brief introduction
On Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 7:00 pm at the Lake Worth Public Library will present A FREE program entitled RUSSIAN ICONS – A BRIEF INTRODUCTION. The guest speakers are Father Brian Campbell and David Rafaidus. Program is free and open to all, no registration required.
Presentation topics will include: Definition of an Icon, A Short History about Icons, Icon Composition, The Life of an Iconographer & Rules for the Icon Painter, Icon Color & Symbology, Different types of Icons, The Iconostasis, Icons in the Home, An Analysis of Several Icons and Questions & Answers
Father Brian Campbell is a priest for the Diocese of Palm Beach where he currently serves as Parochial Vicar at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach. Born in central Illinois, Father's family moved to Florida when he was 7. He received a Bachelor's degree in both Philosophy and Theology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH and a Masters in Divinity from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. Father Campbell was ordained in 2009 and has been blessed to serve in Diocesan parish and school ministry.
David Rafaidus has been interested in icons since 1980. He has traveled extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Russia studying icons. David will use actual icons to present symbolism, stylistic variety, and miracles attributed to them. Additional fascinating facts will be presented.
The Lake Worth Public Library is located at 15 North M St., Lake Worth, FL 33460. For more information please contact the library at 561-533-7354. Coffee, water and cookies will be available for refreshment.

Peter M. Feaman guest speaker at Republican Club
Last night, attorney Peter M. Feaman, one of Florida's top rated lawyers, was the guest speaker at the Republican Club of Central Palm Beach County.
Mr. Feaman was unanimously elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2016 by the Republican Party of Florida to be its National Committeeman to represent Florida at the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C. He currently sits on the powerful Rules Committee.
His talk was most interesting and he also spoke to the club members and guests of his and his wife's experiences of being among the tens of thousands attending the Trump Inauguration last month
Mr. Feaman published his first book in 2007 entitled, “WAKE UP, AMERICA!” subtitled, “Understanding Jihad for Dummies!” His second book, “THE NEXT NIGHTMARE, How Political Correctness is Destroying America,” with a foreword by former Congressman Allen West, was published in 2012. Mr. Feaman has appeared on Fox News and numerous syndicated radio talk shows throughout the United States to discuss political issues.
Clock Boy loses in Court
Well, we all knew it but it took a reporter and company to expend a lot of legal fees to have his day in court.
Ben Shapiro was sued by Clock Boy and was just awarded all his legal fees. This is what Shapiro said that brought forth the charges by Clock Boy and his father that hooked all the liberals believing there was prejudice involving Islam and immigration. Even Obama fell for the hoax involving a clock that looked like a bomb. If you recall, clock boy's defamation suit against Glenn Beck was dismissed last month as well.

Hey--all you potheads--The Florida Department of
Health wants Floridians to speak up on Amendment 2 and will hold five
public forums statewide to help voice concerns over the rocky
implementation of medical marijuana in the Sunshine State.
Florida For Care, an arm of People United For Medical Marijuana, sent out an email urging Floridians to attend the five workshops which will be held next week in Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa and Tallahassee.

The Political Double-Standard
Barack Obama puts a six-month ban on Iraqi refugees entering the country in 2011, and ends the longstanding wet foot/dry foot process for Cuban refugees, and nobody batted an eye.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s executive order implementing a 90-day travel ban on the seven countries listed in the Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 and indefinite suspension of our program of resettling Syrian refugees has set off waves of protest, primarily taking place at our nation’s airports.

Dear Representative Deutch,
I enthusiastically support the new executive order to cap refugee admissions at 50,000 a year. That was the recommendation of the bipartisan U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform, chaired by the late Barbara Jordan. It's about time we took their advice.
The last bipartisan commission on immigration reform, chaired by the late-Civil Rights icon, Barbara Jordan, recommended that refugee admissions be capped at 50,000 per year. The Trump executive order does this after a short pause of the program to review the vetting process. The FBI Director, James Comey, and former DHS Secretary, Jeh Johnson, both said publicly that foreign terrorists who wish to do harm to the United States were trying to infiltrate the refugee resettlement program. It only makes sense that the new administration take time to review the refugee admissions process.
Trump's order also hits the pause button on the entry of non-citizens from 7 countries that were identified by the Obama Administration as hotbeds for terror. Again, this 90-day pause allows time for the new administration to review the admissions process for non-citizens. DHS Secretary John Kelly made it clear in a statement issued on Jan. 29 that current green card holders who are citizens of one of these 7 countries will not be denied entry unless it's determined that they pose a grave threat to the United States.
By reviewing the refugee resettlement program and pausing the entry process for some foreign visitors, I believe that Pres. Trump is taking reasonable steps to protect the homeland from foreign terror threats, while also ensuring the refugee resettlement program is operating in a way that helps the most amount of people. I urge you to support his efforts.

They must like to make fools of themselves. Even Lake Worth's anarchist and top cop hater will be demonstrating. He is part of Earth First, a radical extremist group that calls Republicans racists and fascists. I've always said, the mayor is a great cheerleader for our city. Her speech, which was delivered with perfection, was upbeat and positive and almost had me convinced that we are doing great things all of the time, that the past is irrelevant and we are finally, and at last, on the right track.
