California on Thursday became the first state to guarantee free health care for all low-income immigrants living in the country illegally, a move that will provide coverage for an additional 764,000 people at an eventual cost of about $2.7 billion a year.Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a $307.9 billion operating budget that pledges to make all low-income adults eligible for the state’s Medicaid program by 2024 regardless of their immigration status.

They are ILLEGAL. Taxpayers, no matter the state, should not be picking up the tab for illegals. I pay for my health insurance, do you?
California voted for their elected reps who are making these decisions. If they want to these immigrants like human beings, which is what they are, why should it bother me, a Florida resident.
You don't sound like a very religious person but if you were, you would know that we're all God's children and that our actions in this life will impact our eternal soul.
You seem to want to avoid the problem of illegal immigration that is costing the taxpayers of this country trillions. Its a matter of law which they have broken and Newsom is rewarding it. Don’t make assumptions about whether I am religious enough for you. I believe in law and order and doing things the right way.
I believe in Law and Order, but if the immigrants have diseases, it is better to pay for their healthcare, than have them transmit them to the healthy population.
Why don't you have an Advantage Plan? Of course, you pay for health care through your SS Check, but it is not exactly like having to write a check every month.
The immigrants are here. We can't ignore them.
A friend of mine was getting social security disability in Michigan for $975 a month he moved to California now he makes $2,100 a month to social security disability and he's not even disabled now he's jumping on the free health insurance bandwagon give it to people who actually need it not immigrants

American govt. needs to keep this country safe and that means our treasury as well.
Where do we get all the money to do this and pay for all of this? Where does the money come from Is that why we have so much inflation right now and we're paying like 30% more 100% more for gas for everything today?

What kind of checks do you write for additional insurance? Most of us you said. I don't think you know what you are talking about. Unless you have a separate dental plan, an Advantage Plan is an all-inclusive health care plan.
It is not as good as a Supplemental, but "Most of us" have it anyway.
Maybe, you have a Concierge doctor; that would not include "Most of us'"
If you would think about it 10:04, it would be the job of the farms that hire them to provide sanitary areas for the workers. It is very difficult for me to project my thinking into the mind of someone as stupid as you are, but I am making a Herculean effort to do so!
It's too much immigration too fast and there's this country there's no assimilation its anything goes it's chaotic it's Lawless there's no law and order and it seems like the Democrats that's what they want even the Republicans in the past until we got President Donald j Trump really doing something about immigration but now joe biden has made it 10 times worse again it's very crazy very Lawless and who's paying for all of this? Who's going to pay for the healthcare of all of these millions of illegal immigrants? Legitimate companies who hire scores of immigrants, have Social Security deducted from their pay. 6.2%, the same as it was 50 years ago. The Social Security that the immigrants pay gets passed on to us in the form of a monthly Social Security check.
Our population is declining, and not only is it declining, but it is also ageing. Without immigrants working for whatever meager wage, they receive. Social Security would not be able to continue to pay you every month.
The standard of living, which we enjoy here, and seems to be on the decline, would not be able to be maintained without immigrants.
Far be it from me to say that the government is doing a good job managing the influx of immigrants coming across the southern border.

No ILLEGAL should be working in our country unless they have a visa to do so.
Remember, employers have a duty to verify employment authorization for ALL of their workers. That's the law. But liberals keep going around the law and giving excuses...we need them because no one else will do the work and now you, saying our social security would be insolvent without them. geez.
Well, like you have said many times; we need a wall. But the dissenting party in the country, would rather destroy the country than do anything constructive. Also, the problems in the countries from where the bulk of the immigrants come from have to be addressed. Not with words from a simpleton, but with programs that might work.
I actually think most of us could do a better job than our leaders are doing.
