What bothers me about the beach is the parking decal abuse: 1. it is not right that out of towners can park in resident parking or can buy permits, they don't vote here and live here year round.
2. Some decal people park 8 hours or more, there is a wine colored monte carlos that works at Mulligans and parks there all day, there is also another blue honda civic 2-door that works across the street at the realtor or hotel, yet parks his car there all day9-10 hours in decal, they should have a 3-4 hour time limit
3. I hate when city trucks, police, etc. take up our paid parking decal spaces when you come and want to park and can't
4. I hate the spaces separated and you have to circle around to both areas to get a space when it is busy there, it is easier when they are all in the same area.
They need to give more decal spaces, there just are not enough for all of us who live here and those that are from out of town!
Thank you Lynn for all you do for our city, often I think with you blog you do more than all the elected combined. I appreciate the outlet and I agree with the problems with parking. I also hate when people do not follow rules and laws, like bringing dogs and alcohol, or surfing in swimming areas. They all know the rules, yet think they are above the law to be selfish and inconsiderate and not follow the laws. I despise law breakers and there are way too many coming to our beach and never a cop to enforce anything.
Thank you Lynn, God bless you and all you do! You are the best! Don't let the smug idiots that come here put you down, they are the real losers!
Thought you might like this quote too dear: “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” — Mahatma Gandhi
You always show you are strong and right although so many come here being so nasty.
We lost our right to park at our own beach because of "that great 5 million dollar deal" that Mayor Triolo just loves! And we lost more of what small parking residents now have to rude snowbirds because of stupid"Dirty Szerdi" the ex-commissioner that got his butt kicked out of office by Ryan Maier. That 5 million dollar GIFT that the county made us bend over for was no gift. It was bond money ,paid for by the PEOPLE OF LAKE WORTH that the county OWED TO US ANYWAY !!!!
Gandhi made some pretty speeches, but he was a contributing factor to the million+ people killed during the partitioning of India and Pakistan. Hitler made some great speeches too. If you think this neighborhood can be redeemed, take a ride from 5th Avenue N. at Federal, down to Dixie. And you're worried about the beach.
Thanks anonymous at 12:18. But to set the record straight, we are concerned about a lot of things in this city. Slum, blight and crime is numero uno for me. However, we all should be concerned about our assets as well.
I agree, but these people are not worrying, they are obsessing. They can worry for the next 100 years, and it won't remove one cigarette butt or one syringe from the beach. They should have made sure the pool was taken care of on an ongoing basis. They built that stupid looking ugly casino with the schizophrenic parking lot and just did a cosmetic job on the pool. A pool has to be taken care of by professionals, not Lake Worth flunkies.

100% agreement with you anonymous. And I never see staff giving tickets.
Of course you agree 100% with the anonymous poster pinkie. It's you posting to yourself and complimenting yourself. AGAIN. SAD.
What's sad is YOU. Stay off this blog with your disparaging false BS.
