I guess it's like sex; sometimes there are people who can't get enough. Scott Maxwell is into $$$$. $ex? Well, we don't know about that. But what we all know is that he is into OPM...other people's money and "fat cats." He's amassed over $31,000 right now in a little local election that pays him a salary of $14,500 a year not including the free perks. We all have to wonder how much money in a campaign is enough? Why does he need it all?
Now he is having another fundraiser hosted by Mark Foley (everyone knows about him...it was not about the $$$) and everyone attending is asked to open their wallets very wide--The election is March 15. March 10th is the cut-off date to accept contributions. This fundraiser is two days before the cut-off date!

This is very sad to hear. scott and mark are or were Catholics too going to Sacred Heart here in Lake Worth. I think this all makes them look so bad for Catholics and Christians. WE all know mark left his post as a politician in disgrace, will scott follow? Very very sad, these guys need our prayers, pay to play by scott, before by mark, new car, favors for Benny's. Scott, I am sorry, but this is not looking good for you. How greedy and corrupt have you become? Thank you Lynn for exposing the truth about Scott and all of this money, I am so sorry to hear this. Use the money wisely. It should not take an officer 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours to show up when they are called. The police benevolent association donating $1000 to the campaign? I am sure the police officers and families could have used that money more that the PIG (Politician Is Greedy).

As to campaign contributions- gee whiz, it's almost like the incumbents don't have a lot of support, from a lot of people who think they are moving this city in the right direction. Crazy. Naw, it can't be that, must be a vast conspiracy by a few people who are trying to (cue gasp) gentrify our community by continuing progress. Not sure why amassing great public support vis-a-vis contributions must equal something other than a show of support.

The fact that so much money is floating around a small town election speaks volumes. There are lots of folks who can get rich of the development of our City and screw the residents.
For those who do not know Mark Foley. He was a congressman who solicited sex from minors while in office. He was forced to resign when the information came out. He used the excuse that he had alcohol problems which led him to do this. BS. He's a pervert. I am sure he hasn't changed his ways. BUT Scott Maxwell and Andy Amoroso don't seem to care. They got monetary support from those that support Mark Foley and have even invited him to their campaign gatherings. They also don't seem to care about the number of sexual predators and offenders that live in Lake Worth. The number is high. Are these the type of people you want in office?
