Quote of the Day - Rush Limbaugh

Comment Up
“The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag. It is gonna happen. We are trending that way.

It makes perfect sense. If you take a look at the timeline of progression of events, the speed and rapidity with which the left is conducting this assault on all of these American traditions and institutions, if you don’t think the American flag’s in their crosshairs down the road, you had better stop and reconsider.

The American flag is what? It’s the symbol of America. The left, what? Doesn’t like this country very much and never has and it’s getting angrier and angrier about it seemingly every day. The American flag stands for the United States of America and as such, everything that’s wrong with it. And you wait, it isn’t gonna be long before the American flag is gonna cause chills, fear, scary thoughts … [because] it’s a symbol of hate.”

Rush and other white supremacists don't need to worry. They can still fly their Confederate flag anytime they want to and not be bothered. I hope they do because then we will know who they are.

A Republican Governor along with a whole contingent of Republicans, representatives including Lindsey Graham and Reince Priebus, are the ones that were there and could of, at anytime, revealed that they were being held hostage by the Left...but they didn't, because they saw it as a political opportunity. If there's anyone that Rush should be upset at it should be those Republicans who abandoned the Republican base of voters who wrap themselves in that flag and its significance and decided to pick up a few votes from non-racists.

Funny how Rush and his kind love the Confederate flag but don't have the nuts to display it.

Meanwhile, don't forget that Republicans have written our enemies letters to help them with Obama, are ready to yank healthcare away from millions of Americans, and are waging a War on the Pope.

Let's talk about flags instead.

It must be a terrible burden to bear, being a leftist and a socialist and all and constantly r4esorting to name-calling. As Rush would say,
socialist or a leftist is animosity to one degree or another for the United States in general, and then it intensifies once you get specific about aspects of the United States they find objectionable

One more thing, you mentioning the pope is rich! Talk about hypocrisy. LOL

At least the Pope is talking about "climate change" and "global warming", while our clown Governor bans Florida State Employees from using those phrases.

Talk about burying your head in the sand... I'll just invite you and the Governor to visit Miami Beach at the King High Tide and watch the storm drains bubble up sea water onto the the residential and commercial streets.

While the rest of the world has caught on to the tragic comic irony that we live… In a flat, low, peninsular area and we endure our highest state government official suppressing references to this existing threat.

First the governor said "there is no policy", and the "it's not true!". Of course not offering any detail on what exactly is not true, or why current and former state employees would all voice the same delusion.

I wonder if Bush and Rubio will follow the Pope's new encyclical which is mostly about climate change and what we need to do about it... Will they be nudged by their Catholic doctrine to follow his lead on this current environmental crisis?

Has anyone noticed that all the Republican candidates have stayed away from our reputation tarnished Republican Governor Scott like he has a bad flu.

On Monday, June 22, he would not address a similar flag issue inside Florida's borders… A massive confederate flag that greets I 75 drivers near the I-4 junction and measures 30' x 60' as it waves above drivers passing in and out of Hillsborough county. In 2001, then Gov. Jeb Bush had the good sense to act to remove the confederate flag from the Florida capital. And that was the right thing to do in our state. Governor Scott's office also points out that the flag displayed above I 75 rest on private property (which as distasteful as it is, is still the right of the property owner). The flag and its surrounding memorial is maintained by the Son of Confederate Veterans.

Wow, I guess I'll have to put that on my sightseeing list for my Florida summer vacation with the kids.

I can't wait to see what he has to say about the Florida State flag… And it's red saltire bars which theologians will attribute as a Saint Andrews cross and art majors a tribute to heraldic symbol - and some say it's a remnant of an even older and darker time in Florida's history, at least our 'bars' don't have any stars in it which represent the 15 slaveholding states.

You would F-up a wet dream @10:20...on and on and on...looking for all sorts of conspiracies...now it's our state flag. Don't have the time to respond to this BS...hope you had fun writing it.

Next flag to go: the rainbow flag because it bothers some of the same people who don't like the confederate flag.

Its funny how you know Rush and his kind ( whatever that means) love that flag. Clairvoyance I guess.

Who is bothered by the Confederate flag? Blacks still fighting the civil war? Liberals making mountains out of molehills? I doubt seriously that the Rainbow flag is destined to go anywhere.

Rush Limbaugh is certainly not a white supremest. The race card is used as a last ditch ,Hail-Mary when individuals just don't have the mental capacity to have an intelligent conversation and are losing the argument. And anon at 5:07 certainly proves my point.

Instead of bringing us closer together, Obama's election and reelection have opened old wounds. Magically we will all stop seeing a person's skin color as the first impression.

No matter who they are, or what they are, their INDIVIDUAL character will shine through soon enough. Not as part of a group. White, black, gay, straight, man, woman, republican, democrat, pavers and cavers. It is the INDIVIDUAL that matters.

I am a supremacist. I am better than some people. At some things. I am also a dis-advantaged person. There are many people who are better than me at many things. Smarter, more artistic, richer, better looking and thinner.

It is called prejudice. We are all prejudice. It simply means to pre-judge. How you handle your own prejudice, and that of others, is what shows your character.

Even the nut job that killed worshipers in Charlotte had a black friend who didn't know him as a racist. His black friend knew him as an individual, not as part of a group and vice versa.

It should be our goal to suppress our prejudice as much as possible until we get to know someone. Then make a judgement based on what we learn.
