Racism is alive and well in Lake Worth.
Stomping on civil rights is becoming the norm.
Now they have gone after an elected official,
not just the public and the church.
This commission and its policy is run by a few political punks,
with trumped up allegations and flat out lies resulting
in public assassinations of anyone who dares
"beat their guy" or anyone who disagrees with them.

Kevin Thompson at the Post --I remember when he used to write for the TV section. Now he thinks he's writing a TV soap opera. This whole thing is such tabloid gossip bullshit lies, I can't believe it makes a blip in the media. PB Post is so low on subscriptions, they are mistaking bully-blogger induced rants as "news." And they don't even fact-check to confirm that unproven assertions of a "neighbor" who lives another town over, and was a major supporter of the commissioner who "lost."
Being a sore loser is one thing. Being a lying hate monger is another.
It's not just the huge loss in the last commission election (and 2 special elections where the people clearly voiced opposition to the "vision" of the current majority commission.) Clearly those up for re-election next March are desperate. They already know they are about to lose, so they are fighting with all their might. Ends justify the nasty means, right.
It's sad, but the good news is, all we have to do is go to the polls in March and VOTE THEM OUT! Please, someone needs to step forward & run against Maxwell in Dist 1, Amoroso in Dist 3 + anyone & everyone for Mayor.
Meanwhile, I hope everyone speaks up who supports Comm Maier, as a person --and the American right of private citizens against illegal government searches-- and the right of Lake Worth residents not to be wrongly persecuted by the Code Dept, based on lies. It's not the first time this has happened, but that doesn't mean it's right!

It certainly is intelligently written, I agree with that @6:10. But don't be surprised when i tell you there are a lot of intelligent people out here who are against this "visionary" commission that now has gone over the top and wants to suppress someone's civil rights. How worse can you get? At least the mayor tried to handle it.
Racism, prejudice, homophobia, xenophobia, bigotry are alive and well in here in Lake Worth and on Palm Beach. Have you seen a gay, Hispanic, or Black be able to buy on Palm Beach? Impossible, these Condo boards are so racists and homophobic. WE are more backward than you would think Lynn. Our society has gone to hell. The hate and fear that exists out there toward gays, blacks, dark skinned Hispanics, etc. is so prevalent around here, it is just horrible.

Secondly, as far as my condo is concerned, while I was on the board and until Jan of this year when I resigned, we have 3 units owned and occupied by blacks...that's 3 out of 20...not too bad and well above the average. So HUD, take note. In the last census, blacks consisted of 12.3% of the total population. We also have 2 gay guys. We had a lesbian here but she died 1.5 years ago. We have one Hispanic.
There is no hate and fear for the majority of people..only a small minority, IMO.

You are wrong. On Palm beach if you are gay, black, Hispanic, or a gay married couple, the condo boards won't let you buy, it has nothing to do with the amount of money or how good your credit is. Trust me, it is bad on Palm Beach. Your condo, might be different, but it is NOT Palm beach.

2:08...sorry, you are wrong...there are federal laws about this. No condo would ever put their asocatiton in jeopardy to be sued by the Federal government...not one.
