An Unbiased Press

Comment Up

When I think of an unbiased press, this particular newspaper is not included. Bias, however, is something that we all should consider and be concerned about. Media bias runs rampant in our society and in Lake Worth, we have been used to it for years. Seldom does our local editor endorse the same local candidates as does the Palm Beach Post as an example.

I would suspect that if you want to be really good as a journalist, you have to be objective. The question then that comes to mind is there any journalist that is 100% objective?  Perhaps, but if your answer is "no," then trust is the only goal you have when reporting and that is accomplished by reporting facts, whether they are good, bad, whether you agree or disagree or what you personally thought was true, etc.   Facts stand on their own.

The fact remains that Ryan Maier is the best candidate for Commissioner District 4.

How is your statement in your closing paragraph a fact? That is your opinion.

It's the Palm Beach Post's opinion after interviewing the candidates. I don't believe that the Herald interviewed anyone.

This is sort of fun. Everything one side accuses the other of can be seen in pictures that they clearly are the ones doing it!

The moderator w/a Szerdi sign for the non-political NAPC debate was the best one so far...that and the 'combined questions' they 'assembled! Like the heights vote before an election - the NAPC REFUSED to ASK 2 residents questions on heights from the NA sponsor questions. They ran out of questions and had the balls to ask for MORE QUESTIONS and still refused to ask about the heights - too bad some think money trumps passion!

Maier was right - the NA's are too political and one sided...if you're on their side you may see no problem...till you disagree and let it be known...then they will crush you like a bug!

2:38 this has always been an opinion blog. It is not a newspaper. A newspaper holds itself out as non-partisan or should. Easton has always been behind developer candidates and is always biased.

By my count, the NAPC said the questions were taking too long and asked to extend the forum 30 minutes. The groans were too much so he said two more questions. They had 20 some questions and had only gotten to 11 by the time he called for the extension.

Were you there?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! The utter silliness of all of you people around election time in LDUB. Funny stuff to watch!! The twisting and bending and laughable way everyone takes themselves so seriously. Can a reality show be just around the corner making an oh so justified mockery of every blogger, FB poster and sign stealer...hahahahahaha!

It's a beautiful gift (your poker 'TELL') and how desperate you are to promo your tired talking points. We actually read public record and do the research ourselves BEFORE we talk about it - what is your plan except to attack w/useless personal opinions - link to some public record please
