Referendum for General Obligation Bond

As everyone has been told, the time for talking is over. Tonight on Consent Agenda, the city commission has placed a new bond in the amount of $40 million dollars for 30 years on Consent Agenda in order to place it on the ballot this November.

There will be no discussion on this extremely important item that will put every property owner in debt unless someone pulls it for discussion. The public basically will be left in the dark and discounted as unimportant. Nothing new.

I'm voting FOR it when it comes up on the ballot.

One of the single best items we can do as a city to fight slum and blight is have good streets and sidewalks properly lit throughout the city. It will deter crime and improve the curb appeal of most of our homes. It will increase property values and save on front end repairs for our travelers. Probably even make them safer as you won't have to spend most of your attention dodging pot holes and you can concentrate more on driving.

This is a long time in the planning stages. Cities bond these types of capital improvements all the time and the interest we can get funds is at an all time low.

Why would you be against it?

Did I say that I was against it?
What I said was--give the taxpayers the details.

The Tyrannical Trio are WORSE THEN

Talking about OTHERS obeying the laws
THE TRIO SWORE AN OATH TO OBEY themselves
but DO NOT is a great poker tell like:
"Do as I say, Not as I do"!

Time to fee fine and force this trio into
compliance with the laws they expect US to obey!

Anon at 8:02- Do you know how much you are going to be charged for this? No ,you don't Do we know any of the details? NO, we don't! Only 30% of the last bond was going to be used for roads. Where does it say ,in writing, how much of this new bond is going to be used for our roads? Will our Commissioners all be getting their private slush fund checks again?

800,000 each ,no strings attached,no over site. For improvements in their "neighborhoods". Yeah right. Ripe for corruption. I.E. How much do I get under the table if I give your company the playground contract?
