Our city and commission is a self-serving, dysfunctional mess!
As our once quaint city crumbles into corruption with unheard of amounts of money in the campaign accounts of these incumbents ($500 came from a convicted felon) with PACS out of Tallahassee helping the Trio ($9,000.00 has come from Hudson Holdings), we still have slum, blight, crime and potholes before our very eyes.
This is a city that treats seniors like 2nd class citizens and lies to maintain its power. They are rude to us common folk. They worship those with money...it is all about developers, not the people. It is all about bringing good people down and convincing the electorate that anyone who disagrees with them is an anarchist who wants to destroy our great city. Do they care about the homeless? No. Just get them out of our sight. If you voted for the Heights Charter Amendment, so what? They ignored your vote and are playing footsie with Hudson Holdings and they convince their supporters that it is we who want to move this city backwards. There are some people who I considered "smart" that are believing their message. So I ask...
...who gets fat?
...who gets rich?
...who gets special treatment?
...who rises above us ordinary Lake Worthians?
...who looks down on us?
...and spits in our eye?
I don't need to answer that question as we all know.
It reminds me of what Marco Rubio said at the last debate: "If you want socialism, move to a socialist country." And that holds true for our city as well. Stop trying to make our little city something else. We don't want Ft. Lauderdale and we certainly don't want any developer getting hold of our beach property, not one little parcel of it. If that's what you want for Lake Worth, please move to a city that is more in your liking. Stop spending money on infrastructure to attract developers...spend it on immediate needs of our residents.
Other than the slum, blight and crime here, which is something else this Trio can't get a hold of, we're pretty great!
They didn't honor your vote on the Heights Charter Amendment in March 2013, so you do the same. Vote them out on March 15.

Amen!
A publicist who wants us to believe she has a vision and that she has made the City thrive as she works behind the scenes against the will of the people,
a degenerate porn salesman who litters Lake Avenue with flea market items every day in front of his store,
and an angry, self important, negative man, unwilling to admit he has substance abuse problems as he loses his temper with regularity at City Commission meetings.
We deserve better than this.
Vote next Tuesday, March 15th for:
Diane Jacques for Mayor
Gary Antieau for Mayor
Ryan Hartman for District 1 Commissioner
Frank MacAlonan for District 3 Commissioner
Amen Lynn!
Scott Maxwell, you still owe me a public apology for calling me a racist at a city commission meeting because I did not vote for the 63 million dollar cash grab you wanted/needed!
So Scott, at almost every door I knock on, people want their roads fixed and their beach without Hudson Holdings . Now that you are out there ,you're hearing the same thing. Oh ,wait, you're not talking to the people at the door. You're driving the golf cart and letting other people go to the door !

if you want better educated people and a better lake worth its time to vote new blood in----andys connection to criminal dylan harrison being investigated
they have all got to comfortable---its time to vote them out---so many that voted for them are not---bye andy --but maxwell has to go if anyone---then andy--and sorry pam your mind is else where with all your financial problem and health problems in the family --you priority should be your family first, but i guess you feel different
Correction to my above comment. I was giving Scott Maxwell more credit than he is due. Scott drives the cart, his hired help run up and throw out his literature at the door WITHOUT saying anything and then back to the cart.
Again, how typical of Scott. He doesn't have any intention of actually listening to the residents of Lake Worth.

It's probably a good thing that Scott didn't get out of the golf cart. People would see what an arrogant, self righteous person he is. My conversation with him was an eye opener. With all of the lies he told me and the seniors we saw right through him. He was disrespectful to the newsman from Channel 12 also. In one interview he told 5 bold face lies that can be proven. The trio can't even campaign separately. They need the united front they have so that one can cover for the other in the lies of their campaign.
That is pretty funny! If that's got you all worked up, what do you say about Lynn Anderson, Katie McGiveron, Joann Golden giving money to convicted candidates Ryan Hartman and Frank McAlonan?
You are a TOTAL JERK, anonymous 10:30.
Ryan had a misdemeanor charge and did some community service for blocking an entrance on a road.
Frank? A convicted criminal? HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Erin Deady, lawyer, gave $200. Where does she fit into your lying scenario? She and her firm was in charge of energize Lake Worth.
You people are desperate in spite of all that $$$$.
Hillary Keyes gave to Ryan's campaign; She is co-organizer of Democracy for America (DFA) Palm Beach County, a local organizer for CODEPINK Women for Peace, and at large member of the Palm Beach County DEC. She is also involved in War vs Human Needs and progressive organizing and coalition building as part of Florida Progressives and AWAKE Palm Beach County
You really should post under your own name but you little cowards sneak out from under rocks.
The comment at 9:27 is hysterical. "if you want better educated people it's time to vote new blood in". Which one of the challengers has ANY education?
Although I do agree that the constantly repeated lies of corruption and secret meetings have no merit yet the naysayers keep going to back to them. You have to wonder why. Obviously their candidates have nothing to provide so they continue to make false claims. They must be like Trump- they LOVE the uneducated voters.
You have now, anonymous at 1:14, just showed how UNEDUCATED you are.
Try checking out the backgrounds of some of the Trio and you will see high school prevails. Frank has a degree from the University of Florida and Diane has a BA degree.
Amen Lynn! Thanks for all you do for Lake Worth, for caring and loving our city and all. These three are despicable and we need to vote them out. I hope we have the power to do it as citizens. They do not have our best interests at heart, nor even want to listen to the citizens, they DO NOT CARE about US! They must go and I will not vote for any of them! Thank you Lynn, we must get rid of HH and this nasty trio!
To 1:14- Let's see who on the current commission is educated. Christopher MCVoy - Yep PhD in Engineering, Masters in Science and a BA to boot, Ryan Maier - University Edcuation, Pam Triolo - Attended college ? degree. Maxwell Scott - High School - Whoopee, Andy Amoroso - Some college???? unable to find where he went. From what I hear he can't even read very well. Now the candidates Diane Jacques BA - Teaches at a high school and at PBCC, Ryan Hartman- college. Frank McAlonon University Degree.
Once again trying to spread lies without checking the facts first. Am I surprised. Hell No. It is your usual mudslinging tactics. DUH Can you read??????
At least Ryan Hartman was out in the open with his beliefs. I may not agree with the way he does things or his opposition to the police but at least he did not make decisions involving every resident of this city behind doors and sell us to the highest bidder. By the way I will never give another red cent to the Police Benevolent Assoc. after their donating $1000 to these scumbags and especially after funding the flyer that they just sent out. The money you spent is suppose to GO TO SUPPORTING THE POLICE not some political campaign. You only did this due to encouragement from Maxwell, Amoroso and Triolo. What have they promised you that you will never see. Poor judgement on your part. Wait a minute did the businesses they are making promises to promise you something too. As my grandmother used to say "Don't hold your hand over you butt hole waiting because you will become very constipated.
Has anyone seen Bob Lepa's facebook posts? Hes campaigning everywhere to re-elect our pitiful commissioners and mayor. He needs a fact check!
He needs to be reported to his employer.
I used to think of Mr. Lepa as a well respected man in the community and now my whole outlook on him is shot. Its upsetting because I actually liked him, im saddened by his choices as of late.
Mr. Lepa is an amusing fella. He never called you a "terrorist" while speaking at a city commission meeting for the World to hear. I always know when I'm getting to these people when they come after me. As said, an interesting fella.
Actually the money spent by the Police Benevolent Association is being spent on re-electing the encumbants because they 100% supportive of KEEPING PBSO!
Not like some of their opponents, including Ryan Hartman with his proclamations and numerous postings about 'all cops are bastards' and celebrating when cops get injured or killed. He is shameful.
Anyone can accuse anyone of anything--that is the name of the political game.
If you want me to post your "findings" on Ryan Hartman or that he is on a Watch List, send me the proof. Otherwise it is just vicious personal attacks.
Someone could come over here and say one of our incumbents stole money from an employer. That won't be posted either. There has to be written proof. Supposed Facebook postings no longer there does not cut it with me.
Do you understand where I am coming from?
One more thing--Wes--you have your Frank McAlonans mixed up. It is no wonder you won't post your real name as you WILL get sued here.
@7:47.
At the South Palm Park was it NA forum at the golf course, every single candidate said they supported PBSO.
If Hartman made such a comment that you proclaim, then a reader must know the total circumstances that would provoke the comment. We don't don't know that.
What is shameful is the Police Benevolent Assn drinking the Kool-Aid and not knowing that Hartman supports PBSO and will work with them.
I challenge any one of you anonymous hate-spewers to point out one way that Ryan Hartman would be able to "get rid of PBSO." I challenge you to show us where Ryan Hartman ever said he would "get rid of PBSO." I've heard Ryan speak (which I assume none of you have) and he has said that he understands the vast majority of citizens in this city support PBSO and therefore, his job as commissioner would be to support PBSO. I've heard him say that he envisions a world without police, but isn't stupid enough to want that right now, in fact he knows it probably won't happen in his lifetime.
Why don't some of you focus on good things that the trio have done instead of making up stories about people because you fear anything different
Good things that the trio has done? It is the trio that is focusing on delivering personal attacks.
Let me think about the good things the trio has done.
Fixed pot holes - Nope not a good thing
Curbed Crime - Nope, not a good thing
Decreased Urban Blight - Nope definitely not a good thing.
Gave raises to the people who maintain this city - Nope, because they don't agree to the terms for their raises.
Fixed our roads - Nope, but they have a plan for Boutwell Road, which is about a quarter of a mile long, for millions of dollars, Whoopee!
Promoted small businesses - Nope not seeing that either, Want the big box stores and large businesses here, Oh yeah and warehouses in the Boutwell Business center. How many will that employ after completion.
Up-zoning and Rezoning for their pet projects - Nope that is not a good thing either.
Listening to what the people of Lake Worth really want to see in their city, Nope that ain't happening either.
Can't take credit for the Street Painting Festival Success (which is what they tried to do) - Nope that has been here for many years and the artists are the ones who deserve the credit.
Damn I am still looking for the good things Triolo, Maxwell and Amoroso have done for this city. I promise I will let you know as soon as I find something
Very well said, Jerri. What they have done is sell out our "small town charm" city to the highest bidding developer sharks locally and state wide. I believe the correct term is PAY TO PLAY, i.e. corruption in government. But when you meet in secret it can be very hard to prove. However, amassing a war chest close to $90,000 for a position that pays 14.5 thousand--certainly is a tip off. Why do you think the development sharks want to pay them more than their salaries? Sure isn't for excellence in ethics!!
I'd like to see that.
