When employees go on vacation, the work load still has to be done by someone and the questions should be answered. City Manager Bornstein is away on vacation returning Thursday and in his absence, Larry A. Johnson, our Water Utility Director is in charge of our entire city!
The city used to have an assistant city manager position but that was eliminated when Mr. Bornstein was hired.

There is one person in our city in particular who had a "hard on" for Susan Stanton. This blog is not about Stanton and it will not be fed by your hatred. Please work on all that hate as it will surely cause you harm. Your comments will not be posted.
You know Lynn, someone should look into how this city is being managed especially from the HR & Utilities departments. Employees are being terminated or forced to resign with lame reasons and not just weak link employees. Others are having stress issues because of how the HR department is working, trust levels are at it's lowest as well as moral among employees and no one seems to care. As a citizen who talks with employees I hear their concerns a lot.
I do not think we blame the actual working employees @8:19 but rather look at the Director's and Asst Directors. Don't we have an auditor employed by the Commission, where is he in all this.
