Quote of the Day - Pastor Mike Olive

Comment Up

Last night, I saw Wes (no double ‘s’) on the street in front of the Common Grounds Coffee Bar with his camera. I said, “Hi Wes,” and also greeted his friend who was with him and wished him a good night.

We love and pray for those who wrong us. We guard our hearts against the evil that fills men’s heart with hate and rebellion towards God. We are friendly; we are cordial; We speak no evil and on our lips we pray, “Father forgive them.”

~ Mike Olive of Common Ground

Speaking about Wes Blackman who was in front of his coffee house and filming him and who later wrote a blog asking the question as to whether Pastor Olive thought Lake Worth was against Christianity.  If you read some of the hateful comments there, you will see that there are plenty of people in this city who just plain hate, religion or no religion. The commission continues to tell us that they are proud of the diversity in our city but when push comes to shove, who knows? One thing that we all do know, Christians and Jews are fighting for survival world-wide.

Isn't that the same church that used to be in the mini storage building on LW Road by the old publix? Why aren't they there anymore? They sure seem to choose odd locations - a mini storage unit, now a tiny coffee shop. I'm all for religious practice, but definitely strange choice of locations to say the least

Don't know, anonymous, but Jesus had no structure at all for his sermons...just the fields. What difference does it make? Many churches are poor.
