Pastor Mike Olive announced the good news this morning--Common Ground Church is buying the Bamboo Room and it will the church's permanent home as of May 1. They have been holding services there for 6 months but soon it will be all theirs. The announcement was followed with prayer and songs and a potluck directly after the service.
Common Ground Church will be preaching love not hate and continue to bring the alter of God to Lake Worth. It is up to all of us to build an altar to the Lord in our hearts, maintain it, and visit it frequently.
Members of congregation near altar to pray for those in medical crisis.

I am very happy to hear this news. I eat lunch at Common Ground a lot and they are lovely people. How can anyone object to a church replacing a nightclub? It is not just a place for homeless and alcoholics. A church is for everyone. all are welcome, rich, poor, downtrodden or successful. Are we not God's children?
wow they must be getting lots of donations! that building couldn't have been cheap! good for them!
So will this building now be tax exempt and cost our city a loss in revenue?
The Atlanta Braves fans will be spending, buying and investing in our city that will make up for anything that God could possibly cost you. The Braves, of course, won't be paying any taxes.
Nothing downtown pays taxes to Lake Worth, anon at 6:06 P.M. All the revenue goes to the CRA district. Stupid, isn't it ?
Congratulations to Pastor Mike. With all of Lake Worth being taken over by sober homes and drug addicts, Pastor Mike is going to be needed like never before!
Actually anon @ 8:35 the CRA takes the INCREASE
in taxes after the base was frozen. What that
is, is anyone's guess! When a CRA (or similar)
is placed in a designated area, they freeze the
tax base (to the city) and the increase (when
they artificially inseminate with Your Tax Dollars)
goes to the CRA. So the lil bit to the city is
constant till we remove or re designate the CRA!
See for yourself - and please someone tell them
they have the same information DUPLICATED in the
second paragraph...stuff like this scares me. If
you can't correct a web page...what can you do?
