Lake Worth Candidates

Comment Up

Read the Palm Beach Post on the candidates.

Jacques said she and Triolo have different ideas on how the city should move forward. “I don’t think Lake Worth will be bigger or better because of an industrial park,” Jacques said, referring to the Park of Commerce. “I would like to see that money directed to our neighborhoods and our streets. It’s important to put some of these grandiose plans on hold to focus on streets, urban decay and crime.”

She hit the nail on the head. How is the POC going to improve our streets to allow more visitors to see our city. How is the POC going to do anything but allow larger trucks to roam our streets and create bigger pot holes. How is the POC going to improve the lives of the residents of the Palm Beach Mobile Home Park. How can the city think that the POC is the answer to everything.

Maxwell's first concern is ,of course, developers, not residents. We can do better than Maxwell.

Diane Jacques really hits the nail on the head. I REALLY hope she gets in so we can se how much better Lake Worth can be if we address the potholes, crime, and blight. She has the energy and decisiveness to represent us. Maybe the gang of three can hire themselves out to the POC, since that is all they have been serving for almost 5 years. Let them take their development dynasty in the shadows there. Or even better, let 'em go to Miami Beach where they belong! We voters really deserve so much better!

To the person who just talked about a candidate's finances...no one has gone after the incumbents on their personal finances...and there is info out there. Therefore, your comment will not be posted here.

I'm new to Lake Worth and I'm just learning about the city. I'm so glad I found this blog, because it is a wealth of information. My husband and I are leaning toward voting for all of the new candidates over the politicians running for another term. There are so many nasty things being said about the candidates on Facebook, and I don't think it's right. I won't vote for people who go along with this kind of behavior. No one should be attacked personally just because they are running for office. Many of the people I've met in Lake Worth feel the same way as we do. I can't see this will help them get re-elected.

This is the real difference between you and the other blogger. He will post virtually anything sent him. You only post mainly things supporting your opinion. If there are things "out there" about someone else's finances, people are free to post them as well. You are now the arbiter of what financial info about candidates should be "out there"?

Do you want everyone's "dirty laundry" exposed? Would that make you happy?

There are many people who went through financial difficulties during the depression that we are just now crawling out of. It is not something that I want to get into on this blog.

To say that the other blogger posts everything sent to him--UNTRUE. Readers don't have control of blog comments. I would say to you, go to the other blog that is not the least bit political or opinion oriented, right?
