We have a growing problem with people and families who are homeless in America. What a tragedy it is. Some are homeless through no fault of anything they have done. This sobering, and quite staggering, statistic points to a difficult situation that we must face… and seek to alleviate nationally as well as in Lake Worth.

That's an awesome video, Lynn, thank you. Kind of brings tears to the eyes. I remember a few years back a vet died in his van parked in the lot of JFK Medical Center. He was discovered only when people noticed the smell. Somehow that is just not a fit ending for our aging vets. I know alcoholism etc. are problems; but how else were these guys to deal with PTSD before it even had a name? My old boyfriend still had nightmares of Viet Nam when he would wake up in a cold sweat. He died in 2010 from cancer due to Agent Orange. These guys were brave in the intolerable situation of war when it was needed. Not right that many are seen as just no longer needed. We need to do better as a society. I wish they had an avenue to be brave again--instead of just having to brave the streets....
Ask Chris Kyle.....
