Mayor’s State of the City Address – 2016: A Year of Opportunity
This year, City of Lake Worth Mayor Pam Triolo will be presenting her State of the City Address on January 28th at 6:00 PM at the Lake Worth Casino Ball Room. The Mayor will be discussing the City’s current progress and exciting plans for the future. City staff will have tables with information and residents will be able to meet with select staff to learn more about what is being done to move the City forward.
Free parking will be available at the Casino and Beach Complex premises starting at 5:30 PM. Seating and parking will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
Admission is free.
Located in central Palm Beach County, Lake Worth is a dynamic, multi-cultural city with an individualistic style. People are drawn to the city by its acceptance of different cultures and lifestyles, historic districts, hip downtown and colorful arts district.

As I have heard all this cheerleading before, I probably will not attend and just stay home, relax and get ready for the Republican Debate that is later in the evening. My question, as the election is only 47 days away, is a State of the City given by the mayor who is up for re-election even kosher? Is it campaigning? It is a very thin line and it is taking advantage of a public facility as well as providing free parking.

Hopefully she will do something to counter the horrible news coverage we got last week because of Amoroso's ill conceived and ineffective ordinance to create closing hours for public places in Lake Worth. I am happy to have heard that he was called out for lies he printed on his door hanger.
As a professional publicist, her enthusiasm for her accomplishments and those of the other members of the Low Trio will likely be waxed about poetically by Kevin D. Thompson. He seems to have a disconnect with the majority of residents who want to keep Lake Worth as the last low profile City between Miami and West Palm Beach, and feels he must support the status quo. rather than balanced reporting.
Vote the Low Trio out on March 15th!
I do not believe the Mayor will be particularly upset if she crosses a few lines if it furthers her cause and that of developers. The unholy trio did not at all mind using 50 grand of our own money against us on the bond issue. Supposedly unbiased and "educational" and in reality an expensive propaganda presentation totally one sided to push getting a huge sum of money with no strings attached. Blurred lines? You bet, if it furthers their game.
I have a hand out from Friday's Forum and noticed with hilarity that she lists as one of her accomplishments:
"Lowered the building heights throughout the city to preserve our small town charm."
Now, that's really some serious truth twisting going on there. This from the majority commission that declared our heights amendment "null and void" because it might interfere with their development plans and that of HH. Madam Mayor, if you will recall, what you did was refuse to limit heights in our city in violation of the will of those you govern and a city charter. And now you expect us to vote for you?? Catering to developers as is being done will destroy our small town charm and anything else in developer's way. $$ trumps all with the gang of 3.
What money can you show us (proof.. duh) have they taken??? Again physical proof. You know that word... right proof? Copy and paste it. Word of mouth isn't proof. AGAIN...SHOW PROOF

My question to you is, where have you been?
Are you talking about the $50,000 they used of taxpayer money to defeat the Heights Charter Amendment...that money?
Mayor Pam is crossing the line, and that is unfair to the other candidates. Our tax money again going to a political candidate, not only this but used to defeat the Heights Charter Amendment, The three incumbents should all resign using the taxpayers money to further their
elections.
Free parking at the Casino to listen to her campaigning? This is a
campaign speech not a state of the City speech. HOGWASH
