I think they mean violent crime, you know, like when the BCE was in power and gangs were shooting up the place.
Also assaults and murders and rapes are down.It's just those pesky bicycle thefts and auto burglaries that populate your list. If they could just do something about that.
It's gotten WAY out of hand. It's scary to listen to the news anymore and hear Lake Worth and crime so often in the same sentence. We have gone downhill. So many people spoke at the last city meeting--you would think our elected officials would notice this, instead of spouting off that everything is just peachy keen here since they have been in office. Maybe they are just deaf unless you are a developer or big money. We really need to take back our city for our own safety if nothing else. That's why I am voting for Diane for Mayor--this is a priority for her as well. The incumbents seem too busy with their development projects and this "vision" they have, to see our way of life crumbling right before their eyes.

Thank goodness we haven't had another shooting.
I was all for PBSO and was impressed by their first few years in our City. But the last few years they have drastically reduced their patrolling, I never see a patrol in my neighborhood except for my neighbors who patrol in the COP car, when they do patrol they don't get out of their cars, dispatchers are annoyed if you call (despite the fact we are told over and over again "to make the call y'all"), they ignore the homeless camp in the middle of our city, they ignore the rampant prostitution and drug dealing going on dixie and Federal Hwy and worst of all they blame the victims, well if you didn't have a bike it wouldn't have gotten stolen so its really your fault, etc. I don't know what they do anymore, but they are not cutting it and our leadership seems like they don't care.
I'll be voting for anyone that makes crime and PBSO accountability a priority. I don't know who that is yet, but I am listening.
Hi Sam Smith. The city haven't looked better then it does today, take a bike ride born the alphabet streets and see how well maintained the homes are compared to 10 years ago.

PBSO is not cutting it. Triolo ,Maxwell and Amoroso don't give a damn about the average citizen here. At the debate they acted like the people begging for help from crime at the city commission the night before didn't exist.
these crime figures are available to anyone (its probably an embarrassment to the guys working the streets)..........If the crime rate is an indication of how well the local LEO's are doing their job...well then....they dont get a passing mark. Either they are trying as hard as they can to bring those numbers down or..........they dont give a shite. I refuse to believe they arnt trying hard..............maybe just maybe there's too many bad guys and not enough good guys. the way i see it is...you have to make the city less attractive to the bad guys.
I see the police all the time patrolling around in their cars & on bicycles. Even yesterday I saw two deputies with a city person guessing it was a code officer since he was wearing a badge too... kick out two bums out from the Bizarre Cafe Building next to city hall. Keep up the good work fellas
