Every now and then a hard core liberal comes to this blog saying that "Republicans are a dying breed of old white people. Soon we will all be dead and gone and our country can move on with their progressive policies." Got news for ya--we're going nowhere and we are stronger than ever.
I like Ben Carson's statement about why he switched parties: "...patients coming in, almost all of them on some kind of medical assistance and on social welfare programs, and their lives were in shambles. And I started making the correlation, in addition to listening to what he [Ronald Reagan]was saying. And then I see people who came from the same environment who were doing perfectly fine. But, they were people who grasped the significance of personal responsibility and hard work. And I realized that one system was pushing people toward failure under the guise of compassion."

Because, Obama and libs keep chipping away at our 2nd Amendment. As Marco would say, the federal government doesn’t usually bother to follow up on failed background checks anyway, and most people planning to commit these kinds of shootings often find their weapons through other channels. Those people in San Bernardino did and the Watch List is not set in stone as the government can add anyone's name to it thus violating their rights. That is my guess. y9u needed a supermajority and didn't get it. There had to have been good reasons for that as NO one, Dem or Rep wants terrorists to have any weapons. Write a better law.

Hey, here's an idea. Since Republicans are all about keeping us safe, why don't THEY write it instead of rejecting all of the other side's efforts and doing....absolutely nothing. Amazing how Rubio managed to find the time to vote, reject and comment on this proposal to keep Americans safe and miss so many other votes.
If no one wants terrorists to have weapons to harm Americans, why are Democrats the only ones working and trying to anything about it?
