WPTV just did a segment on only having lifeguards 5 days a week at the Lake Worth beach. This is the height of the Season and Spring break. Hundreds of people were at our beach today. They interviewed Joe Kroll, the Public Services Director, who originally came up with this plan to reduce costs.
It seems that the City, according to Joe, is now going to man the beach seven days a week for the next six weeks.
