Evening sky 11-6-25

Alan Dershowitz warns that Zohran Mamdani’s election as New York City’s mayor marks a chilling cultural shift.

“Eighty years after the Holocaust,” he writes, “New Yorkers are prepared to vote for an antisemite — not because of his bigotry, but despite it.”

Dershowitz draws a historical parallel to 1932 Germany, when voters supported Hitler for his promises, not his hate. He argues that Mamdani’s anti-Israel stance reflects a broader normalization of antisemitism on the left, mirroring old prejudices from the right. For Dershowitz, the danger isn’t Mamdani alone—it’s a symptom of America drifting away from its centrist, tolerant roots.

"We live in a dangerous world in which extremism on both sides is gaining traction. The Mamdani election is a symptom of a potentially contagious disease, but we have the ability to prevent its spread by maintaining the centrist tradition of America that has made us the most successful country in the history of the world." [Alan Dershowitz]

Good Night, Patriots!
