Trump and Mamdani Promise to Work Together to Tackle NYC Affordability

President Donald Trump met Friday with New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in the Oval Office for their first in-person discussion.

The meeting brought the socialist mayor-elect and the president together on shared goals for improving New York City.

Trump said they share “one thing in common,” which is wanting New York City to do well.

Trump said the White House would help New York however possible. Trump said political differences would not stop cooperation.

He said a “strong and very safe New York” was a mutual goal. The key word here is "however." I can't imagine Trump pouring in millions of federal dollars to enable communism in New York City.

Neither one of these men can be fooled by flattery. Trump said Mamdani has “views that are a little out there.” He said leaders often change over time.
