Political Gamblers aren't worried about Political Indictments

Political gamblers go all-in on Trump, shrug off legal troubles

Most political gamblers are betting that former President Donald Trump will triumph over the multiple criminal charges he faces and win the Republican presidential nomination and the presidency for a second time.

In numbers stronger than political polls are showing, gamblers pouring money into political betting sites heavily favor Trump over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) despite facing three indictments and other legal hurdles.

The gambling news site Covers showed Trump with an overwhelming lead and a 73% probability of victory. DeSantis is second, with a 16% probability of winning.

Former Vice President Mike Pence — who got into another tussle with Trump this week over the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots — has fallen far behind DeSantis and is now tied with Tucker Carlson in the betting pool.
