Why the Guatemalan-Maya Center's new home in Lake Worth Beach comes at a critical time
Of course we all know why it needs a larger space--all the illegals crossing our border
The Mayan Center helps all illegals. "The center finally got its long-awaited space this month, after signing a 15-year lease and moving two dozen employees and volunteers into a two-story building at 1776 Lake Worth Road. The new location consists of 6,400 s.f., double what they had on North G Street.Palm Beach Post article
The center offers family reunification, legal and medical referrals, financial assistance, document reading and appointment scheduling with immigration officials, just to name a few of its offerings. It's just closer to where I live...

I can't really be against this if it helps to integrate immigrants into society.
When my relatives came here from Germany, they quickly went to school to learn English, but it wasn't like they had never seen a bus before.
While the city is at it, why not put a table and chairs up in the Cultural Plaza and teach the homeless some skills so they can become productive citizens.
Nothing comes from nothing, and complaining about situations that in some cases can be remedied is just a waste of time.
It's NOT a waste of time when we continue to coddle illegal immigrants who have crossed our border uninvited and have organizations encouraging this action.
At the start of 2023, the net cost of illegal immigration for the United States – at the federal, state, and local levels – was at least $150.7 billion.
