All-Muslim City Council Approves Animal Sacrifices at Home
I heard this on the news the other night and was shocked. This is being allowed in the United States of America!The all-Muslim City Council of the Detroit suburb of Hamtramck voted to allow the religious sacrifice of animals on private property.
Since the 2021 elections, the council has had three members of Yemeni descent, two whose roots are in Bangladesh, and one who is of Eastern European heritage who converted to Islam.
The vote to allow animal sacrifice was 3-2. Mayor Amer Ghalib, who is also a Muslim, cast an additional vote for the proposal.
So, there were two Muslim council members who voted this down...two sane people. And I don't give a flip if this is religious freedom.

1:26...not sure this is allowed but the law says Animal cruelty is a crime charged as a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up 12 months in jail and a maximum fine of $5,000.
Can't slaughter dogs or cats,anonymous...Florida law prohibits the slaughter of dogs or cats.
