Channel 12 News at 11pm

Does everyone remember Mr. Ray Gross who spoke at the last city commission meeting about his 13 year old Weimaraner who was arthritic and shot to death by a PBSO deputy right on his own property--

For doing nothing but running out there to greet him?

On the news tonight.

How can anyone know it was running to greet and not charging the officer, you can't so better safe than sorry. Dog owners: don't allow your pet to charge out the door for any reason.

With all the non-lethal tools they carry, any cop that shoots a dog especially on it#s own property has no right to carry one!

This is a very sad outcome. The owner of the weimaraner is the person who called the police about a noise complaint and should have made sure his dogs were put up. As dog owners it is our responsibility to ensure their safety. The reality is cops have to make split second decisions and I am sure this officer feels bad that this happened.

Everybody in Lake Worth needs to watch the video of Ray Gross at the last commission meeting telling what happened to his beautiful dog. Very scary. The officer shot the poor old dog several times and lied on his report saying the dog bit him. The dog did not bite him.
