Illegal Immigration costs big bucks

Comment Up

Illegal immigration costs the United States taxpayer bucko bucks.  A new study released by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) finds that providing education, health care, law enforcement, and social and government services to illegal aliens and their dependents costs North Carolina taxpayers more than $2 billion a year – an increase of some $700 million since 2008. These costs – that do not include federal outlays – amount to a $578 a year burden per North Carolina household headed by a U.S. citizen.

I have an idea, let's deport or kill everyone that is not a Native American, that will end the immigration BS.

It's probably much higher than this. All of Lake Worth is affected every day. Trash everywhere, low property values, failing schools.

Yes, Deport. By all means. If you see that someone has broken into your home and is parked on your couch, eating your food, do you shrug your shoulders and say "Oh, well, nothing to be done now. I will just have to let him stay"? No. You eject him. The law needs to be enforced. And people who want to come here to live among us must start the right way, by applying to come here legally, showing us that they recognize that we are a nation of laws. Why would we want the others here? The ones who do not respect our laws, who violate us. It would be very compassionate if we did not prosecute, and did not demand a return of all wages earned after entering the US illegally, but only deported. Enter some countries illegally, and you'll find yourself behind bars for a long time.

I have mixed feelings regarding this issue. I do agree that we should and must enforce our immigration laws, and I do agree that the costs associated with illegal immigrants and their legal children is astronomical. It certainly is reflected in my tax bill.

On the other hand, most of the immigrants in Lake Worth are lovely, hard working, family folks. On a personal level I like these people, I enjoy the Mayan culture, they are kind, etc.
