Why does this blog list crimes. Minor offenses like burglary of a vehicle happen in every city. Are you trying to cast a dark cloud over L.W.? In my mind this makes PBSO look pretty good, one minor burglary.
As said before, anonymous, there is so much crime throughout this city, that I am bringing attention to the downtown. This seems to be the area that YOU care the most about--where the businesses are. Breaking and entering of anyone's personal property without their permission is a serious crime. So, it may seem like not too much crime to you, but be assured that LW is a huge crime city. Publix has its problems nearly every day with shoplifting and theft.
We should all care about the rampant crime in our City and the fact that we pay tons of money to PBSO and they don't seem to be present in our City on a regular basis. Are we getting what we pay for, I don't know. I am worried about the crime, it impacts all of us.
Correct me if I am wrong. This blog seems to blame everything the blog author does not like about L.W. on the commission, excepting Mr. McVoy. He does not seem the least bit concerned about blight, unpaved roads, and decaying sidewalks. I know he is against progress, but truthfully what is he for. I listen to the meetings and hear him argue against most every initiative other commissioners propose, but he never seems to have any viable options.
It seems to you? Well, who are you? Without your true name here you are not a credible critic of this blogger or commissioner McVoy. What is "progress' in your mind? He usually votes with the commission 99% of the time so I have NO idea what you are listening to. When he does take a stand against this majority vision or interjects an idea, I have agreed with him.
Progress to me is paving roads, fixing sidewalks, fining blighted properties and aggressively courting business.development. I have not heard Mr. McVOY rally behind any of these issues.
I haven't seen anyone on the dais rally around these issues other than economic development and sacrificing John Prince park and turn it into dirt for a dream that perhaps some $$$ may trickle over to Lake Worth.

Crimes are like surgery -- they're only minor if they're happening to someone else!
