Quote of the Day - Mark Easton

Comment Up
"Nope, it’s just an opportunity for a few people to fight progress in Lake Worth. When a local businessman stood before the Lake Worth commission and supported the resolution to explore possibilities, they said from the chambers 'of course you do, you will make a profit.' Well, I bet if none of the restaurants made profits in Lake Worth, this same little group that fights to keep it the ‘quaint little town' will be complaining about all the empty buildings on Lake and Lucerne. They are always against anything this commission suggests, automatically. And now they have sucked another into their fold, what a shame."

~ Mark Easton, Editor of the Lake Worth Herald

from his opinion piece on those who were opposed to John Prince Park as a Spring training site for national baseball.

Who's Mark Easton?

Would you please tell him to read Frank Cerabino's column in today's real newspaper. Maybe he will actually believe that there are other opinions to this and everyone is not against things just to be against. How silly is that? Can he really believe that dribble? Why LW is in the fix it's in.

The discussion at city hall was on John Prince Park being the venue for a Spring training site. The Resolution summary was:
The Resolution supports the City’s continued exploration and development of John Prince Park as a location for
a major league baseball franchise spring training camp.
BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION:
Palm Beach County and municipalities in and around John Prince Park would reap significant economic
development by locating a spring training camp at John Prince Park. Additionally, the City finds that this
location would provide a significant benefit to Palm Beach County, nearby municipalities, the City, and its
residents.

CAN ANYONE BE HONEST in this city instead of twisting the truth?

I don't live across from that park but I am against digging up a beautiful place. Who wants to ruin a beautiful park for baseball diamonds and fat cat national teams who want poor taxpayers paying for the promotion of their profits. Is it all about what's her face sitting on the bleachers and singing Take me out to the Ballgame?

Easton has a hell of a nerve. Stay out of Dave's and start drinking iced tea.

Lynn, please do a blog on the biggest traitor of the day. My first choice would be Mary Lindsey. Will you think about it?

To the coward anonymous poster who just attempted to post here calling me a coward, let me remind you, I post under my own name. I stand up for my convictions, unlike you. Get lost...have a nice life.

Easton is another selling his soul to the devil, his paper has gone down the tubes and he just wants something more to write about or a way to sell more. He needs to get with the times and do more online and create an online paper, maybe he can have half the success that Lynn has here online. Easton's paper is slanted and not objective, no one wants to buy it anymore or even read the free version, lies and half truth, go sleep with Sharpe, Rice, Blackman, and the rest of those goons selling their soul to the devil here in LW.

Looks like easton gave his entire article to Wes to go to town. Wes accused you of cherry picking and again threw up that you don't pay taxes. He continues to assassinate people.

Well, I can't run an article without his permission. I was not about to type the entire article so I picked a paragraph that was appropriate to the neighborhood out this way and aimed at me.

If this marvelous commission would get rid of the slum, blight and crime, maybe some day I might be paying more taxes to the city.

In the meantime, certain people make it very tough on folks who do have another view.
