Crime downtown Lake Worth

Comment Up

If you notice the budget discussions, there is none when it comes to Public Safety and all the millions we pay. Lot's of crime going on in the 600 block of Lake Avenue.  Perhaps since this is Commissioner Amoroso's block where his store is located, and the city manager lives in The Lucerne right next door, things will get better?

Here is the latest:

STOLEN TAG--600 BLOCK LAKE AVE--7/31/2013 5:08:00 PM
In broad daylight, folks.

Do the crimes in our downtown all have to be theft or worse for it to be considered criminal or important to you, anonymous? Why we are in trouble!

We are in trouble because someone steals a license tag? I agree with 11:46. I guess you think this should make the PBSO look bad?

Not even worth posting. Next will be J-walking and littering....

Even Michael Bornstein's bike got stolen.

Let's hope the NO KNOCK policy does not affect you when someone commits a horrible crime after having stolen your license tag and the cops break down your door and shoot you for resisting. Now that would be really something!

When a car is stolen, a thief can change the original plate out for a new plate, one that they have to steal from someplace else. They use this tactic to use stolen cars without the cars being properly identified. This means that a stolen license plate can easily end up someplace else in the country, helping a car thief have his way with someone else's vehicle. We are experiencing a lot of car theft in Lake Worth right now. I am just surprised that they would do it in our downtown and in daylight.

It's a big hassle to replace a lost or stolen tag.

So, be a smart guy...you probably are too young to drive anyway based on your remark @1:29.

Its possible that the tag was stolen elsewhere and the owner just took notice of it where the car was parked downtown.

Let's hope Bornsteins eye patch other ridiculous pirate gear were stolen along with the bike. What an embarrassment.
