The government, instead of trying to raise people from poverty, are aiding and abetting. With the government about to pass amnesty, more and more Americans will be out of jobs and those who suddenly become "legal" will put pressure on the government for welfare services and benefits...the standard of living in America will keep falling. The interesting thing is that the stock market is rising. Money has to flow somewhere, much like water in an open tap. Beware a market pumped up mainly by the printing press. What goes up will go down.
