Substance abusers receive help and hope through Civil Drug Court--
State Sen. Jeff Clemens, D-Lake Worth, was on hand Saturday to learn more about how the program works — with the idea of making courts like this one happen in other places.
“I want to be able to take good ideas and spread them around the state. The idea of being able to help people extricate themselves from a difficult situation makes a lot more sense than incarcerating them. It’s also cheaper,” Clemens said.
