"State of the City Address"
Time/Date: February 9, 2011 at 7:00p.m. Where: Lake Worth Playhouse located at 713 Lake Avenue.
The event is free of charge and open to all interested residents of the City.

Second Annual(?) Blame Fest and Finger-Pointing Address. If you're expecting solutions, you're going to be disappointed. He spent an entire hour last year bad-mouthing the very commissioners who began the process of dragging us out of the morass we're in.
Very un-leader like. Can't wait for a new mayor who has vision and commitment to Lake Worth.
By the way, last year he held the blamefest in July so he could trash, with impunity, two commissioners who were out of town on vacation. Why is it happening in February this year?? Hmmmm.
I have no respect for Varela. He has NO LOYALTY,other than to himself. Please leave lake Worth,Varela, and let someone who loves Lake Worth and the people who live here take the reigns from you. The quicker you get to your new city, the quicker you can begin to build your new campaign there!Goodbye, good riddance,get to steppin,,leave,get out !!!

He also said that we were one hurricane away from bankruptcy and then later denied he said that.
